When one has done good things, achieved more in past, it is natural for the people to expect more from you as a leader. After separating from a partner in personal and business life, I have faced the major setback, however it’s never my excuse as a Leader. I accept the downfall and All Set to Rise again. I accept the cheating, the fraud and the disloyalty of many in our toughest phase as a company. Happily, it’s a new learning as a leader. The hurdles are always “temporary” However, the zeal of the Leader gets double!

I will ensure my name should not be in among the successful leaders around the Globe. It should be among those leaders who have guts to accept the challenges, redo them better, Move Forward and turn things around with positive people around them. This year has been a year of excessive loss and pain as an owner, as a CEO and has been tough year for my team too with a delay in salaries for months. However, as a CEO I feel blessed to have a team who stood by me in company’s toughest phase. More than half of them chose to stay.

Good leaders are those from whom teams expect a lot. Expectations creates pressure, pressure motivates. Pressures are never Negative, pressure spur to do Even Better.

If I feel pressure of hundreds of direct and indirect team members, it will be huge. However, these hundreds of people are a motivation and help to me as a leader to move closer to our vision and goals at a faster pace.

I saw the challenging phase in my business as a Opportunity to learn, I believe my learning should not stop. It’s ok to be “Comfortable in being Uncomfortable”.

Dreams are the biggest source of energy. I proudly share, my dreams from a small village Tangra are Really Very Big. Who I am today is because of the unconditional love people have provided me from every corner of the world and are the witness of my journey.

I always wanted Growth of my Company, Growth of my Employees, Growth of my Clients & we all Stay Loyal to each other.

I am excited to solve the puzzle and take my company to new heights in coming months. I am soon doing a major announcement as a CEO and will be sharing a Happy News!

#Jalandhar It was a blessing to meet Mr. Jagdish Chander Joshi last year, a man with treasure of knowledge. Today I was remembering my visit to his home.

His energy and literary vibes at the age of 90 were remarkable. The more we talked, the more gems of knowledge kept popping up from his treasure.

He had a wonderful career as a professor of History and retired as Principal of recognised degree (now P.G.) college Rohtak. Previous to his teaching and administrative assignments, he was Editor, Research Project (for about five years) for writing the History of Freedom Movement in the Punjab as also for preparing short biographies (in Who’s Who form) of the freedom fighters of the undivided Punjab. The then Vice-Chancellor, Panjab University, Chandigarh, tagged this as “solid research work”.

He wrote Brief History of D.A.V. College Jalandhar in 2009 and has recently completed the comprehensive one on the centenary celebrations of this college. He has to his credit research work on the Jallianwala Bagh tragedy. Another work on ‘Defence Forces and the Freedom Movement, 1903-1947’ is likely to come soon.

Besides being a trained historian, J.C. Joshi is an avid reader and prolific translator with his firm hold on English, Urdu, Hindi and Punjabi languages. After his superannuation, he has devoted a lot of time in his literary pursuits. All the 154 Sonnets and love poems (comprising 3876 lines) of William Shakespeare have been translated into Urdu by him and that too, in verse. The four

famous plays of William Shakespeare (viz. The Merchant of Venice; As You Like It; Julius Caesar and Hamlet, the Prince of Denmark) have also been translated into Urdu. Alongwith Hindi transliteration of all these works, all occupy pride of place on the shelf of the library of the International Shakespeare Association, Stratford (Upon Avon), England. Transliteration in Punjabi of all the 154 Sonnets and love poems have also flowed from his pen.

His opus of translation into Urdu (and transliteration in Hindi) include Tagore’s Gitanjali, Guru Nanak Dev’s Japji Sahib and the select poems of Subramania Bharti.

Besides, he has transliterated into Hindi and Urdu book titled ‘Yeh Khalish Kahan Se Hoti’ by the late Shri Rajinder Pradeep, Khawaja Ahmed Abbas awardee. Mr. Joshi also gave Urdu version to a collection of Ghazals (in Hindi) written by Dr. Ravinder Jeet and translated speeches of the revolutionary S. Ajit Singh (in

Urdu) to English which now forms a part of the research book

titled ‘Buried Alive’ by the late Dr. Pardaman Singh and Dr. Joginder Singh Dhanki.

He wrote forewords for several books and has reviewed many literary works.

Apart from all these, he has to his credit his own books (into Urdu and transliteration into Hindi) —

‘Rafta Rafta’, ‘Nakhat-i-Azad Khayal’, ‘Zavia-i-Nazar’, ‘Nakhat-i-Parwaz’, ‘Nakhat-i-Soch’, ‘Panch Bhut', 'Arba-i-Quwat', ' Man ki Baat', 'Keh-Di-Raz-Ki-Baat','Tum se-Un se- Sab Se' and 'A Sketch History of Jalandhar Cantonment (English)'.

In all, he has written 52 books all-inclusive after his retirement from service in 1994.

Yes from the deep rural roots of Punjab, I decided to be in roots itself forever. From the rural roots of my village Tangra, I along with my team worked super hard to nurture a garden never before, close to my heart.

With a thought of Unique & Innovative Business Model, I pursued my passion to be a social entrepreneur in the field of IT Services & Digital Marketing. I am glad to be in the list of, Self Built Companies, organically grown, honest & ethical ventures with team of more than 120 and growing.

Punjab’s first ever IT company in a village. We survived Covid & managed business without getting enough loans & support we deserve after the covid hit. We never had enough collateral.

Proudly & Passionatly we are “Changing Lives”, “Reverse Migrating”, “Building Ecosystem”, “Curbing Brain Drain”, “Generating Employment”, “Giving White Collar Jobs”, “Training Hard” and much more!

Sticking to our choices & going through unwanted separation in my personal life. Tough times, However I am all set to continue my vision of progressing Punjab! I chose Punjab over America! From Punjab & From the roots of Punjab - My village Tangra will continue working and growing Globally! Amen!

At the next level of pain, I find no healer!

I personally feel, I am in the most challenging times of my life personally and professionally currently, However this time, I am building all courage own my own to get up once again. I have started. However, it’s very difficult to collect all broken pieces and make a new life altogether.

I do not feel proud in people I chose in my life who choose money over me, selfishness over me. I landed up in becoming a highly sensitive human being. Tearful but not Hopeless.

This world tests the honest, the giving and the loving very badly and hurts very deeply. There is a limit beyond which it’s unbearable and there is lot of rework to figure out from where to start.

From -1, I am starting again from 0.1 ! That’s how I am feeling today!

Life is all about being into the coolest of the self-made rules where you need not follow what people say. However, to consider and listen to all may be a fruitful and wise deal. When you dig down deep on humanity, then you find everywhere in the corners of this world, lives exist. Poverty has been a forced religion for many, the places where there is no water, people have no clothes, no food. We are lucky on this earth, we are blessed with much more. We are with loving families, loving friends and are working with some motive in life.

Rejoice! Cherish and be thankful from the core of your heart for each moment with your fellow beings and practice to keep your thoughts simplest and the really good ones. My father used to say and still, he says, what I always followed “Do anything, but never even think of doing anything wrong to anybody or never even think of something wrong happens to someone because of you.”

Anger kills the being human in us, anger takes away from us our blessed calibre to make things happen with love. It proves that there is something which you cannot do in life i.e. you are so weak that you cannot make things happen with love. Oh! Why become a loser? Let every situation overcome with love, with compassion. I have seen parents treating kids with loads of anger sometimes and studying different parental behaviour, I also saw many parents let their kids do things wrong and learn on their own. They have never shown aggressive anger. They believe that otherwise, kids will learn same from them.

We are in a world where our own conscience is so humble with us. It is forgiving every time you don’t do right in your life. It’s always with you till your last breath, last wish on this planet. Be compassionate, humble with all, like your own conscious is with you, ALWAYS HUMBLE! Believe in the Almighty - Yes, He is there!

Our salaries are flawlessly on time from a quarter now and I pledge that it will always remain. The tough time is Gone I sincerely apologize my employees and ex employees and I am thankful for all who stayed No Matter What and firmly believed in our vision “Changing Lives”.

We are doing well, have an excellent team and we are growing everyday. Prime minister to Miss England we are getting recognised globally.

I am sure SimbaQuartz is going to be one of the most promising venture in 2023. All geared up!!

We are Punjab’s first IT company from a village with more than 130 employees. We are working on “Reverse Migration” and “Generating white collar jobs in rural”.

And yes, the real win is when a leader can pull through the deepest pit. Cheers

As I am entering 36 very soon, Embracing my “Grey Locks” & that’s also the sign of completing a decade of “Stubborn Entrepreneurship”. My friends said it’s too early but I want to enjoy the phase of the age I am in. There is a difference between the taste of pepper and the taste of salt & pepper

I never gave up. No matter where Entrepreneurship took me, I never thought of giving up.

From meeting the Prime Minister of India for exceptional work to loosing my most loving relationship and going through an unwanted separation.

From loosing a lot of employees due to delay in salaries for more than a year, to absolute good days of Salary on time, currently .

From No collateral availability, to support by banks like HDFC for funding.

#DeepPurpose We are not doing anything without a purpose, we are not going anywhere without a track. We know thoroughly what we are doing. We are at our village Tangra with a “Deep Purpose”. We are in villages By Choice, not By Chance. Our every step is improving the world around us, around our IT Services & Digital Marketing venture SimbaQuartz with team of 130 in a village. There are hundred things we do differently and thousands of decisions we take differently. Few if I highlight:

We are setting up a big library, where we buy books of minimum ten thousand every month from years. We want to leave legacy behind, a library as a gift to the village.

We “prefer” to train youth who stays within 15kms of the area. We are all focused to bring more and more trainees from a stipend of Rs. 6000 to Rs. 60, 000 earning employee.

We give group health insurance of “ten lacs” to five year old employee, his/her spouse, children, parents and his siblings.

We prefer and give matched or even better package to youth who choose to “Reverse Migrate” from bigger cities to the village.

The Prime Minister of India - Shri Narendra Modi’s invitation to his residence has been the most memorable day of 2022 for me. It may be “Not a big deal” in eyes of many, However a big deal for the village We represent, the team We represent and the unique Tangra business model We represent in rural India.

India needs “White collar jobs” generating companies at every 100kms of populated area, irrespective its an IT Services, HR consultancy or any other services sector.

India needs policy, a supporting eco system for rural India, for the companies who can generate White Collar Jobs for more than 100 people at villages. The policy can support in building infrastructure in villages, spreading awareness and bringing fast low cost internet, providing land etc.

Training focused organisations is the need of the hour for our country. These companies should invest heavily in training from Basic to Advance skills and must give handsome salaries just like in cities at same place. Government should support and recognise companies giving White Collar Jobs in rural.

50% jobs should be mandatory to be given within 100kms of the area. The companies must prefer local vendors for day to day operations. Such ventures operating like “Tangra Business Model” should contribute with utmost seriousness in Building Ecosystem of rural economies.

India needs solution for the employment of the educated youth of the country that’s one part of the unemployment problem the country is facing at the moment. Youth is migrating to other states and countries at a faster pace. India needs to encourage the new concept of “Reverse Migration”.

7 years of togetherness!! Why are we successful in a small village Tangra? One of the many reasons is we have very loyal, set of passionate and committed team mates, who strongly believe in the vision of the company “Changing Lives”, the concept of “Reverse Migration” & “White Collar jobs in villages”.

Three out of the five who have recently completed seven years in the company are from my own village and they are at Top positions in SimbaQuartz. One from Amritsar and one from Himachal. They are in first ten employees who joined initially. They are also equity holders.

Throughout company thick and thins they never chose to Give Up. I am proud to mention here, they even supported the company financially during the toughest times. We all studied locally and we are all serving Globally today.

I feel blessed that we could build a venture in small village, which has very “Strong Pillars” irrespective the thunders and storms. We will bloom as the most beautiful flowers of the world …..

2nd-January -2023

We are coming up with Software Engineers & Graphic designers from Slums in next two years time. Our project “Tech School on Wheels” is at stage 2. Students who were taught for years in slums by sending our company bus, few out of them are now getting trained on campus.

We will train them for another two years and they will be doing White Collared Jobs. I am excited to see them taking handsome salaries to slums and then finally fulfilling their dreams with their utmost dedication and they will also become role models for many.

My heart writes…. We had options to be in any part of the world on the basis of our education, not money. Our parents gave us full freedom. Whatsoever we wish to do, eat, wear and enjoy to the fullest the life of our choice. Sometimes I wonder how our parents could be so modern being in a village and rarely travelled. The home and shop they have, they mortgaged for our business they could have done same for us to settle abroad.

My brother Manjot Singh Tangra is more than ten years younger to me, done his Computer Science & MBA from a Top institute. His classmates are in best of the best brands of the world. He could have been easily in any country of his choice.

We have only one thing in mind, the villagers who bought flour from the small flour mill of our father and our father could pay for our education, we will give back to their children in the form of White Collar Jobs in and around our village. We will “Reverse Migrate” the best talent back to our villages, who otherwise chose other cities or countries in search of handsomely paying jobs.

SimbaQuartz is the Punjab’s first IT Services company in a village with nearly 130 team members today. We serve globally from a small place where once leaseline has been brought with a great hassle. Thanks to airtel .

Entrepreneurship is that tough, I never knew it. Two days back, I found my husband (legal separation is on, without a demand of even a penny) living in United States, running a parallel IT company without bringing to my notice from a year in Chandigarh and May be more than a year.

Rather than supporting us in village, he moved clients to his company, tried his best to move employees to his company and decided to leave us permanently. It was shocking to see billing of approx 10,000 dollars of a single ex client through an email received by mistake, whom he said that I broke his good terms with the client, where the overall company was struggling for funds. I have also observed the clients close to him leaving us or not paying us our last invoices, over the past one year effecting our business.

After Learning all experience from a startup and By making us Cash deprived, leaving all debts on us, not working hard on sales and by bringing us to a level of delay in salaries for a year, He not only ditched me personally but also professionally and made a very Safe Exit with a shift to his own set up in India. I personally feel this is the “End of Humanity” and Money has become everything. I can now realize the number of times he and family told lie to me continuously for a year! You don’t need outsiders to drag you!

My husband is a Sikh and is an Ex Infosys Ex American Express and currently Ernest and Young employee. Representing such great communities and companies and reflecting such low ethics to genuine people is sad. I do not have his current address, He never picks up my call and replies on text with his will. The only window today to talk to him is the lawyer. He also didn’t renew my US spouse visa from almost two years now, despite my requests.

Life is taking my toughest examinations, testing my limits,testing the height of being forgiving to someone and move on! Please Don’t do this to your partners, to your co founders, don’t play with the lives of people.Don’t be that money minded. Money is not everything.

Nobody can challenge my honesty and commitment towards work, my commitment towards living the dream of my husband as I was never a an IT girl. I gave my days and nights in last ten years. I believed in his capabilities.

One year of back stabbing,where I don’t realise who is doing it, still God exists and exists in the form of Great customers and Loyal employees. We grew double in last 1.5 years..We are now 130 team members operating from a small village Tangra in Punjab.

Many people say, not to share and expose such things. I write to help you and think the other side too, you could be cheated by the one you never expected. When someone is sitting on chair next to you, daily talking to you,he could be a liar too. It’s very tough to almost die and get up and when you Get up still people do not stop hitting you. I can tolerate separations,However playing, lying, leg pulling and cheating is Heights!

CEO from a Village and decided to be in the village, irrespective of what all opportunities the world offered to me in past ten years. Being in a village is contributing highly in “Building Ecosystem”:

Paying Guest :

My village has no culture of giving rooms on rent as there was no company or industry nearby before. Initially people were not so comfortable in giving rooms to my employees, However now the village is welcoming and earning.

Tiffin system:

Women making tiffins for my employees is very satisfying. Even who are not educated can now earn decent amount even from two employees by providing Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.

Milk:

We are not buying packaged milk. We are buying milk from small farmers from their homes. More than 600 liters of milk, we order from our village every month.

Local shops:

We have 130 employees and nearly 70 trainees. We have huge flow of daily guests, visitors visiting us. More than 200 people everyday shop from local shops of my village and hence an incremental growth in the income of local shopkeepers.

Special services:

Whenever we need diesal, grocery, labour, carpenters, electricians, tent material etc we prefer local services. Sometimes we have to guide them to match the class, but we do all the effort to give work in the village.

Learning & Earning:

Youth of my village and nearby villages started learning computer science. They have started preferring similar studies, few learn from our center too and many are doing job with handsome salaries now. Even the women helper staff might be otherwise earning 2000-3000 rupees a month, is now earning upto 10,000 rupees as they are working in Pvt Ltd.

Social Services:

Our bus regularly goes to slums to teach computer science. Our employees go as trainers. We regularly donate shoes to the needy kids in hundreds of villages. We give free computer trainings at our campus too. We listen to daily problems of various families in village and try to solve and help them.

Changing Lives:

“Changing Lives” is the vision of the company. A person earning 6000 stipend is now earning 60000 after 4-5 years. A person earning 15000 is now earning 90000. Rather than Migration to other countries and cities, choosing white collar jobs in villages, my team initiated “Reverse Migration”. That’s the stories we are creating in my village. It is bringing big Lifestyle Change as well as the money earned in the village is spent in the village.

( I am working on a Unique Business Model, running an IT Services and Digital Marketing company in my village Tangra in Punjab with a team of 130. Punjab doesn’t have any policy under which IT companies can be helped when running from a village, which is the need of the hour as our model is “Replicable Model”. There could be IT company for 100 people after every 100 kms in Punjab. As of now whatsoever I or my parents had, I mortgaged to the bank to fund a revolutionary solution to our country)

I was the Topper, but could not pay my fee on time even after completing my MBA. Not paying my fee on time, never demotivated or discouraged me to Work less harder. I gave My Best. Similarly, no matter what challenges you face in your personal life or business, have patience.

From a year and half I am helpless to arrange funds for my company because of Covid setback, no collateral with me, a year of very painful seperation with no demand, However No Matter What, everyday I give My Best at work! Educated women in rural are emerging Stronger & Better. Women from City, from Metros, are hand-holding rural educated women and from there we are setting up a new trend in our state - Punjab. A unique concept of doing White Collar Jobs locally and earning handsome salaries within walking distance from home. Keeping culture intact, and being closer to the parents is the cherry on top.
SimbaQuartz is working closely with women in the field of IT Services & Digital Marketing. We are a total team of 120, working from our village Tangra around 30kms away from the city. Our venture has been personally visited & appreciated by Mr Manish Sisodia - Deputy Chief Minister Delhi and Has been praised by Mr Arvind Kejriwal - Chief Minister of Delhi. Because of our remarkable work in the field of Social Entrepreneurship, we have been appreciated & invited by Shri Narendra Modi to Prime Minister's Residence recently.
The underrepresentation of women in tech is common and even though progress has been made, it is moving up at an extremely slow pace. However at a grassroot level in SimbaQuartz, we are creating enough opportunities for women by focusing on training and mentoring them.

Manish Sisodia - Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi - is a leader, who can connect "Ground Realities" with "Actual Solutions" with his depth thinking. I must say the concept of "Reverse Migration" in India is his mind's innovation, exactly like he is passionately focused on improving the "Education System" along with everything else. When he first visited our village Tangra, he confidently said "Yes, this is the exact solution to our country's problems". I am proud to know the Social Initiatives of Endress+Hauser . Under the Endress Water challenge project in Donwada village near Aurangabad, the company has recently inaugurated the unique green bridge technology-based sewage treatment plant. Endress is all focused on developing Eco-friendly smart villages. Not only this, but the company is also trying to clean local rivers and develop the villages as a cleaner greener places to visit for the tourists so that it can generate income for the villagers.

At SimbaQuartz, we regularly support Tree Plantation and we truly rejoice in the drive.

I regularly visit local schools. Over the past five years, I have visited more than 500 schools in Punjab. I talk to little girls, and I see myself in their eyes, their smiles, their confidence, that they will become good teachers, good nurses, doctors, and much more. These girls come from a background where sometimes there are four to six girls in one family. Some don’t have a mother and some don’t have a father. Some parents are drug addicts and some are struggling with loans and odd jobs. Some even face domestic violence.

These kids mostly cook at a very early age, as their parents go early to work. These little girls help parents with odd jobs early morning, they are also responsible to take care of their infant or younger brothers and sisters. Worn-out shoes or limited uniforms are a regular concern and sadly some depend on mid-day meals for the brunch. Yet they smile…

Government schools need attention, where kids should only focus on studies and the comfort of a government school environment should help them to forget the adversities they are facing at home or otherwise in life! India needs a better environment for women, For the women who can bring change on the ground level, at the bottom of the pyramid!

Rather than keeping it to myself and growing my own venture, I will mentor all such teams from villages of Punjab who are willing to open an IT Services company in their village. I will help the leaders to become an even better version of Mandeep, by sharing my experience over the last 10 years. I am passionate to work on setting up IT villages and curb Village to city Migration, Unemployment, and Brain Drain. I believe “Tangra Business Model” could be replicated and can generate thousands of White Collar Jobs in Punjab not only in IT but in various other sectors!

In the initial years of the company, members traveled to Tangra village by local buses. As our village is about 30 km from Amritsar city, for the convenience of our employees, we bought a Maruti Suzuki Omni van in 2017.

The team worked hard. We progressed. The work increased, and so did the team size and my courage to do more. According to the increasing number of employees, we then purchased a Force Motors Ltd. Traveller with a seating capacity of 15, in 2021 and when the team size increased to over 100, we purchased the BharatBenz bus. Now over 50% of our team members travel to office by bigger bus.

The thought process was simple, usually, people travel from villages to towns for their livelihood but we wanted to do something that would reverse this migration. Creating jobs in the villages and bringing people to villages in search of jobs, would increase the income of not just our team members but the other villagers too. If our team size is increasing, the villagers are getting additional work too. We have also created employment for drivers. People coming to the company are purchasing things from local vendors, thereby increasing their income also. An increasing number of vehicles at the company is a symbol of the progress of the entire village. This is increasing the sales of petrol pumps. Mechanics and other small/ big business establishments are also generating better income. We are making a positive impact on the local economy.

This progress is not my individual progress but of all the youngsters of my village who have been working day and night with me throughout this journey. Very soon I would try to set up a similar company in some other village too.

Whenever some special guest comes to my office, I always take him to my father and my father’s flour mill in my village Tangra. The Humble beginnings.

We have a small, 72 years old traditional flour mill set up. We could never earn from it. My father earned little out of it and all he had he spent on our education. A man is known for his innocence and honesty that’s what my father is. Meeting guests every day, make them very happy. He feels proud, completed, and accomplished. I feel money hardly matters in front of such happy moments for him. Though we still live in an old home too and the roof of my father’s business is temporary.

I am sure the materialistic things will change soon. However, we built nothing personal ever but only business, only a business model in the village where 100+ employees are working today. Recently, Hartej Singh, Vice President, and Program Manager YES BANK visited us from Mumbai.

We are proud to show our business model in the village to each one visiting us, where we are curbing problems like Migration of youth from villages to cities, brain drain, unemployment, etc. We are trying to build an IT village giving White Collar Jobs to the youth and improving their lifestyle. Our venture is securing the health of our most committed employees and their immediate family members with insurance of 10 lacs a year.

An idea I could not even convince a person I am married to. An idea, I could not convince hundreds of my ex-employees, my potential angel investors. Now, it is "The Hottest Idea of the Country" today. I & our business story are followed by over 1 million followers on social media altogether. Setting up an "IT Village" generating white-collar jobs in villages & Changing the Lives of the youth is the solution to some of the country's biggest problems such as unemployment, brain drain, and migration from villages to cities.

The Story Starts, when I was an entrepreneur decided to set up IT services & Digital Marketing venture in my own village, where I believed there could be more Mandeep's like me. I believed that the youth of my region can learn Technology, Graphics as well as English. I believed in myself, I can train them and I could feel they are keen to learn and prove themselves just like me.

A white-collar job not only improves lifestyle but also brings good cash to home. However, a white-collar job also touches various other businesses locally and increases the income of the local shopkeepers. Sometimes it even touches the lives of less-educated women at home, where they start providing tiffin's, start giving their homes in the form of Paying Guests, women start stitching clothes, selling fresh milk from cows at home, laundry & ironing services, and much more. Recently a sugarcane juice stall has been started by a local outside our office, that's a classic example!

When India’s Finest Education Minister said, “You are absolutely Right”

I first met Deputy Chief Minister - Delhi, Mr Manish Sisodia through his book “Shiksha” four years back. In his book, I felt he is talking one to one with the reader. What a fantastic book it is. I also reviewed the book in my native language Punjabi and shared on my social media. I never had in my mind, we will meet in person someday.

For the coming up fastest revolution in “Education & Entrepreneurial Mindset in Students” in India, Undoubtedly, the credit goes to the India’s finest Education Minister Manish Sisodia. Remember the kids cannot vote and it needs courage and selfless approach to double the education budgets and spend thousands of crores, which can be otherwise directly spent on people who can vote.

The good attracts the good! Recently visiting my village Tangra by him, where I run an IT Services company SimbaQuartz and appreciating our team’s work has proved how intelligent and deep thinker he is. He has validated the concept of creating white collar jobs in villages, which nobody could do for us in ten years of my journey. Nobody recognised in the system, that it’s the solution to unemployment, brain drain and much more. Somebody said so confidently for the first time “You are absolutely Right”.

Some of our own didn't believe at all, what they are doing is doing right. I was just dying in my village. Dad finally put the coin in my name to run this business. All of our hard work has paid off. Nothing more than encouragement. There is peace of mind somewhere... Village is the life of Punjab..!

Our IT company established in the village is a new combination of education and employment. There is a model of business in which people come to work from villages not from cities, but from cities to villages. The youth of our village did not only get employment but also the income of the village has increased in every aspect.

My journey from my village “Tangra to TEDx” made me one of the “speaker in demand” in India. Despite my busy schedule, busier challenges I always preferred to share my journey with students and budding entrepreneurs and my friends.

I proudly say I must have shared my journey hundreds n hundreds of times. My story is the story of “A little girl’s innocent dreams, Not Giving Up, Start with Nothing, Collaborations not Competitions, Walk the Ethical Path & It’s lonely at the Top!!

I didn’t gave up when I wrote my exams without paying fee when I was a student and wrote cheques without having money in my account in my business. I became University Topper and Our venture became super profitable in years,2019 & 2020, like never before!

I, again and again, started with nothing many times, this year too.. ! Even my own partner said no more money from home and no more India, but I continued believing I can take a stand for my venture and still run the show! I pledged my village’s home to a bank, moved forward with nothing once again!

We have never competed with the local IT companies. We always welcome IT companies who have 5-20 employees in our region, We work with them with great collaboration! We earn and learn together. It’s a win-win.

I never walked an unethical path, no matter how much money and time I lost. I love the Visionary Leader in me, where I know what we are heading towards. We are “Changing Lives” by generating lucrative jobs of dignity in rural areas, in a small village of Punjab, where now people also come from cities to work. We are serving the Globe, right from the land which built us.

We are a team of 110 today, which codes and designs right from Tangra, my village. That may sound fantastic, and Yes it’s a path to walk for many.

Financial & Social pressures are huge when you choose to be an Entrepreneur. Nobody trusted, I worked with unsecured loans, despite knowing the fact secured are much better. I had to pay double the interest and even three times. But a woman usually have no collateral on her name, similarly I never had. I could never win the trust that as a woman I can do a successful business. Social pressure almost killed me inside, where I have been damn pushed to settle in United States, has been asked all questions Why I chose my village Tangra for business! Seems I have been doubted, despite performing. The past ten years has been the years of doubting me as an entrepreneur, even by the near and dear ones. Despite negativity to a greater extent we have become a team of 110 today . The next ten years, the future is in our hands and now in the journey forward - There is no place of doubt, negativity in my entrepreneurial journey! I am steel determined to grow my ventures, like never before! “Self Belief” is the utmost trait an entrepreneur must possess and they move their “Rejections to Redirections”!

I am a strong daughter of my parents, nurtured with absolute great values and of course education. Being honest & ethical is something I practice religiously. Still the world see a woman with an eye which doesn’t believe on her capabilities, her hardships, her journey. I get shocked when, Some says Her husband is in US giving her business from US as well as sending her enough money, which is never true. It’s even shocking, Some says she is doing shoe giving campaigns and she is getting enough donations or help and one fine guy even used the word money laundering. Haha so funny I must say & sad too! We have been doing shoe giving campaigns as a part of social initiatives by ownself, always self funded from our regular income. This is pain however, I am never hurt by this, however I practice “be nice, anyway” with such people too! I practice “Being courageous”. Be a “Stubborn Entrepreneur”, no matter what! Negativity you throw on others, will never let you progress in your life!

My honest work even in business cannot be challenged! I have always and always followed my parent’s path. We never became rich in life, but definitely happy!

In my entrepreneurial journey, it has hurt me most when a customer said I have other options too but I want to give business because I want to help. An investor said, I am going to invest because I want to help this venture, not sure about profits. I am sure their soul knows we can deliver good services and can make profits. The business given to an entrepreneur should be a respect to his or her hardwork, her commitment & dedication towards work. A business should be given on the basis of the work portfolio. An investment should be done in a venture on merit, should be done because of the journey, the intelligence, the trust on capabilities. It’s disrespectful to show yourself stronger, richer and feel pity on someone, who actually doesn’t need that favor. Respect the actual spirit, the actual journey of an entrepreneur! On behalf of the true entrepreneurs I want to say to the world “ Do me a favor, Don’t do me a favor and Respect the capabilities of an entrepreneur and the team behind.” & Be a true investor or a true customer!

The pressure of handling big sales figures, I have learnt from him. I still remember how we together used to work on Institutional sales selling the best of the brands in India. With his support on my fairwell at Hypercity, my colleagues tagged me as “IB Queen” as we really achieved remarkable sales figures together. I used to travel from village to city approx 30kms, on my two wheeler or bus, all seasons. Jagpal Sir has always been a great support throughout. Very intelligent & diligent. “Sometimes bonds which bound you personally or professionally were only Straw!” We think they are like “Fevicol ka jodh” or "Ambuja cement“ ye diwar kabhi tutegi nahi” a bond with a dear one, your friend, employee. With time when you have tougher times, you realise how much relationships actually stand with you and how much you have to helplessly compromise. Many started the entrepreneurial journey with me and today they are not with me. People want to see money faster, they kick off the bonding and find a new job. There is no guarantee of their satisfaction next. The most painful is when your partner too give up on you as the journey is real struggling everyday. Then you actually loose each and every kind of support. Moving ahead in life expecting no sympathy or help from others through Steely Determination can only be the foundation of Pioneering anything which has never been done before. I have been very honest and dedicated to SimbaQuartz and undoubtedly I have given all my time, energy and money into it. Today, Even the last penny my father and I had, we have mortgaged to the bank. I feel blessed, despite challenges, we are doing absolutely fine, working globally for the past nine years, and have employed around 100 people in my village Tangra in Punjab. My life and venture is an experiment Can people who are honest and have no money do something bigger? Despite painful rejections, how much one can move ahead? People are God-fearing or the whole world has turned scientific? Can a woman determine to rise be a success story? In today’s world, can we love our country the way we love our mother, no matter how it is? My decision to choose my village, care of my parents over everything is how much wrong or right? The height of risk I am involved in all alone, shall I sail through?

Choosing my own village Tangra has been a very costly deal! I was trying to impress my husband, that our efforts in Punjab can work and our future should be in our own country, but I badly failed to convince personally & professionally. I was trying to bring change to the lives of youth working here, not many but some even resigned after five six years. “When nobody could defeat you, your own people does that, life is that hard! Many times I had word with top talent but village is a hurdle between them and facilities they aspire for. And then I question myself Why I am Doing ?? Our universe runs on herd mentality where people follow more and lead less. We have become slave of our own actions where we have forgot to Pioneer, Lead, Create and Believe! Even when 99 people said No, I have observed myself the only Yes. I am a firm believer of Pioneering, Creating, Discovering, Believing and Leading. I am also proud patriotic where I am not in favor of Brain Drain despite clear opportunities. I wonder how foreign lands are becoming even more favourite than families. Some people say I am stubborn, I should be flexible, adaptable, agile. However, you need stubbornness & force in positive manner, to Pioneer what has never happened before and touch the lives of many other people, never considered before! You need stubbornness in achieving your goals and could be flexible in your methods. Also, my friends say why you victimise yourself or through your posts gain sympathy, it makes me laugh.. and I wonder how they say direct on my face and add some pain. I always share what I feel. I am happy to be mentally so tough. It’s one’s biggest strength not weakness. “Be willing to walk your journey Alone, many who started with you, won’t finish with you”

I thought I will bring the whole world to my village Tangra in Punjab one day! From 10 years, it was my only dream. I was dreaming of a company of 5000 at least right in the heart of my village. It is sad part in the story where even in 10 years, I could not convince my own family to leave United States and settle here and work dedicatedly from my village. A kind of surprise for me after few achievements. With time I also realised, nobody is in your dream till it gives money and money in return to others, no matter who is next. People would have prefered to work in Charity then. I never wanted to have Angel Investors in my company, as the business has great potential own it’s own. I hoped a lot from my own people to contribute financially and physically whole heartedly one day, where I thought one day they will believe and trust on my capabilities and say me Great Job! Infact, Zero to team of 100 is quite a good number. Today, my thoughts changed after sheer rejections! I have thought to keep strong base in my village and move out in cities too with my offices. Not only this, I also thought to travel a lot in my next 10 years, which I have not done earlier. I am blessed with great contacts and soon will be having genuine & generous Angel Investors too! My sincere thanks to them who have shown their trust on me. I am hoping for brighter future of SimbaQuartz as well as some ray of light & ease in my life too. I always make decisions in favour of, my intelligent team and their growth. The hiring criteria at SimbaQuartz is very strict, not everybody gets job here. My Apple story at Starbucks today! From my village Tangra, Out of hectic office schedule, I went for shopping to Amritsar City, all alone today during lunch break. I was wishing for some “ME” time. As soon I finished buying some favourite cosmetics stuff. I wished to give newly opened Starbucks’ treat to myself. I ordered “Mocha” my super favourite and a sandwich along! I was feeling today, happier. I keenly wanted to talk to one of my sweet friend in this casual time, I could otherwise rarely manage for myself. But when I picked up my phone, it showed 10% battery left! I was not having charger neither I could arrange, I was sad and I thought phone will disconnect in sometime. I called up to my friend I told my phone will disconnect in sometime during our talk without saying bye. To my surprise we could talk 35 minutes continuously with 10% battery and to my utmost satisfaction till my happy Bye Bye to my friend and Mocha has always been a treat 30kms away from my village Tangra. Aha! The moments today made me even happier! The best 35 minutes of the day! Felt “Customer satisfaction” to “Customer delight” brands are creating unknowingly out of our hectic busier schedules! “Small things, big impact”

I had nothing except “Courage” throughout. No love, No money the way a woman deserves! Whenever I have been helped financially, made me feel, like a big favour done to me! An another business deal going on! It was always said, it’s your business and you want to do it, never an Our’s business. Till the time you run business at risk, it’s only the leader’s dream! Rest are helping and favouring! I accept I am height of imperfections, However, Courageous! Doing the right thing is what we should call “Courage”. What good is courage of, if not applied to justice. We apply courage to force our near & dear ones to follow what we say! That force should be towards believing & supporting one’s dreams & vision selflessly. There is nothing which could not be done, if determined enough. I am born with Steel Determination. Steel determination is doing what needs to be done, no matter what. The bravery of absolute ordinary men & women and their huge risk taking capacity has brought real transformations in the world. Somebody had to sacrifice for someone is enjoying today. Nobody with a silver spoon could move generations! I have done all throughout my life, what people say I should not and could not. It took courage to ignore the closest ones, who thought I am wrong everywhere and there is no need of so much worries of entrepreneurship. We don’t need your business. The suggestions & wise talks are not the answers for someone’s blood, sweat & tears given to a venture. “Courage is beautiful” It allows beautiful things to exist. Move away from life of ease, where you expect no help, no sympathy… !

Rejections & Ignorance triggered me hard. I remember, I travelled 65km+65kms to and fro everyday to my university, where I topped my MBA. Some semesters I opted local private bus, when I could pay fee I opted college bus. My village is a small village on highway and mostly bus drivers rejected my travel because they didn’t want to waste time stopping at a small station. I used to request, you can charge me more and please drop at my station. Though I have fleet of eight vehicles today in company, However was the one can’t travel in every bus coming towards my village irrespective it’s dark. - I have been ignored all the time when I speak being in my village, to set up an IT company in roots of my village and work from here physically. Friends & Family pushed hard to move to US. My ideas of buying assets here in my village, has never ever been welcomed. With time I learnt, I need to carry SimbaQuartz on my own, to take decisions of my own. I thank my father, who gave even his last piece of land his home to a daughter as a collateral to run the show, I am very blessed for his trust in me. - My love for my team has been rejected, ignored by the ones I paid in covid times but they still left for their own reasons. It is absolutely true and genuine, i could easily make an excuse but I sincerely paid my team when Covid months were not profitable for me. I feel how could people do this, we have trained them for long and now was the time to pay back in the form of double hardwork - Someone recently wrote on my Linkedin post, “you are never alone” , I disagree! Till the time you are about to fall in dark pit, people stay with you, everybody says NO, NO and once you fall In dark pit of challenges, nobody is with you! You come out own your own and you are even stronger eventually!! I don’t write emotional, I write facts of real life on ground, what I feel inside my heart!

The doubts others do on you, starts working when you yourself, start “Self Doubt”. My almost 20 employees doubted me, put mass resignation in 2015. Left me in dark. Today I have 100+ employees and one of the most dedicated and loyal team. My closest friends & family, even today, always pin point I should prefer United States, loans and asking money is doubtful, pitching and pushing banks and money lenders is not healthy, buying land is a wrong step, as if they are saying being foolish. When I bought a Toyota recently, I was teased to even buy a Mercedes! When it’s about arranging money and funds as I had zero collateral, I always felt like I am begging for my dream as I confess I had very little when I started and my dream has been bigger than the biggest. Time made me stronger, even stronger where I can now see some assets, great sales and coming future of the company financially strong own it’s own. I was doubted badly being from a small place my village Tangra, Life took me to stages such as TEDx, IITs, IIMs multiple times. I have lived a life of being doubted always. Earlier people doubted my parents, now they do it to me. Wonder, How gracefully my parents sold off everything and educated us, proved themselves, “Believed and Never Self Doubted” - Today I too “ Firmly Believe and Never Self Doubt”

Today is my father’s birthday. I have learned the “lessons of freedom & sacrifice” from my father.
A humble, innocent soul running a small flour mill throughout his life. Adding on rupee to rupee to pay for our education in the most difficult way! Sacrificed all his health, his strength doing all labour work himself, today even with crores of rupees we cannot return to him what he has sacrificed for me. He has gone through hundreds of physical injuries, the most pressurized days of his life, just to fulfill the dream of educating his kids and he has successfully done it. There are no Sundays n Saturdays in his life, no day and nights. I proudly say, he is utmost honest and man with patience. I am learning and learning from him.. I must say the closest of relations left me alone in the dark, but left me with my father. He is always my strength. I am blessed in abundance, I feel sad about sons & daughters who choose to stay away from parents, that should not be the case. Neither parents nor kids should encourage such a culture.

Life is never easy and sometimes everything is at a toss, when it comes to "Entrepreneurship". I have read many times "Its lonely at the Top" and yes journey is all about your firm decisions and stick to your vision as you rise.The true entrepreneurship, with time takes you to a stage, where you can see everything from the top and you are connecting dots in the best manner for a exceptionally fruitful result. SimbaQuartz has been a baby to me, which has now become a teenager, the journey has been against all odds. I have spent my days and nights into it against the will of many around me. I cried so many times, and I laughed even more. I felt no one is believing in me and still not believing. The closer the people the even doubtful they are sometimes. The situations pressurized to Give Up then and today too. I chose a different life, where I have missed much more. It is even graceful, that I have explored lot more. I explored the journey within, within a woman and unfolded the entrepreneur, learner, fire, patience and calmness in her. What a beautiful soul I have found! The woman needs to break barriers, pursue what she wants, respect her existence and should not depend. She must not choose cages, bow down anymore, its time to undoubtedly believe oneself and fly high! Its time to RISE, no matter what!

“Happiness in those little things” We started with Office number 3 today, with additional seating capacity of 60 people. In the rural roots from my village Tangra, our IT Services venture is flourishing and continuously providing decent lucrative jobs to the Youth of Punjab and India in the field of IT and Digital Marketing. Our vision is “Changing Lives”. Changing Lives of the employees who join us and of the society at large.

I am happy for these small forward steps. We aim to be team of 150+ by next 6 months.

Then & Now!!

I was stubborn throughout. Even while speaking once at TEDx, I chose my topic “Stubborn Entrepreneurship”. Initially in Phase one, the first 10 years of my journey, being stubborn helped me to set up a successful IT Services venture in my village, no matter what. I ignored all the offers and options I had to settle in the United States. I handled the extreme financial crunches and made my venture super profitable again and again. However, today I am at Level 2 of my entrepreneurial journey and now have different challenges to address, such as scalability, standardization of whatever we do, R&D and much more. Luckily, I have great selfless mentors to guide me. Two of them, recently insisted me to adopt Change. The Change of embracing Agility, Flexibility and Resilience. I acknowledged too and I am working on it and I am enjoying and more satisfied being more flexible and adaptable. I am shifting to a Dynamic Mindset, where keeping my feet grounded in my village routes, I aim to touch the sky, Globally!

Yesterday, My client’s wife talked to me, super sweet intelligent lady, She is a Phd and professor! She invited me to her college for a guest lecture in Mohali. She enquired for a monetary “honorarium”. I asked her “Not at all”. I have been paid in past, handsomely being a TEDx speaker and my experience many times. However, My journey is blessed with great mentors, especially after 10 years. I have little exposure, I have least travelled and worked in companies. I need help to grow, I crave for good mentors and my journey needs them for sure. Recently a C level HR also an advisor to me, handling team of nearly 1lac people, upfrontly denied any fee for consultation. Our dream of setting up SimbaQuartz an IT services company in my native village is a success. We have been able to generate good direct employment in our region, especially in our village. The village eco system is getting healthy and many are able to earn with indirect association too. Some homes are supplying milk, some are renting out PGs, customers increased on local shops, Local buses got more passengers, village’s electrician and carpenter is happier, students in and around village started choosing Computer Science as their subjects and much more!

We are serving globally into Core Software Development, Ecommerce platforms, Digital Marketing & Graphic Designing.

My village is Tangra, 30kms from city Amritsar in Punjab. I believe we will be, double the head count by December 2022. Thanks to the teammates who have been part of our superb journey from all over India.

A team of 100+ excellent, dedicated, hardworking employees, in my village Tangra in Punjab. I recently got two excellent offers for acquisition. One from Noida & the other from Hyderabad based IT company. Though I liked the teams, However, I had to say no to both, as I felt the vision of companies doesn’t match. Ours is an employee-centric venture and the vision of “Changing lives” in rural, must be taken care of with utmost seriousness by the one looking for Acquisition. SimbaQuartz will always be on its own forever or will be acquired by the most promising company in terms of employee benefits. God knows! I am happy when I think of my last 10 years and the fruits today. I thank my own self for “never giving up”.

Right from my village Tangra, we are Collaborating with “the leading entrepreneurs” who have super successfully set up their businesses. It was a pleasure to have Mr Sukhvindra Singh Dhami and his team at our office in Punjab. Sukhvindra Singh Dhami is the Founder and Director at Sparkler Ceramics Pvt. Ltd. which specializes in the production of “Piezo Electric Elements” and is headquartered in Pune. Mr. Dhami has worked extremely hard for the last 3 decades to make Sparkler Ceramics the largest manufacturer of piezoelectric elements in the entire South Asia.

SimbaQuartz is developing a comprehensive ERP system for Sparkler Ceramics that would streamline the end to end manufacturing process and operations of the company, eventually enabling the management to make better decisions while growing in size and stature.

Obviously, I understand the business equations of an IT business. However, my stubbornness is in pioneering a new IT business model from a rural location, my village Tangra in Punjab. My presence in my village is not a compulsion or only choice, however, it is an intentional decision. A decision to generate employment, help the rural ecosystem, to mark a small place on the world map. The government schemes and bank policies may not get fit into it, it doesn’t mean the idea is wrong and cannot be successful. There is no bigger route to success than the strong gut feeling and the passion to pursue. When I discuss my business case study, most people give suggestions how they are doing it from metros, the services are surely same however only we can see the business model cannot be copied. My journey is all adventurous! Highs & Lows! Innovation & Discoveries!!

I have judged “Business Idea Contest” at Indian Institute of Management Amritsar for three consecutive years. During my MBA times, there was a Business Idea Contest with the name “Spark” and I used to participate every year. I even won one of them, Great memory 😊 When students write business ideas, they are more of ideas which can only start once we have funds. India needs ventures ready to go initially, self-funded, and organically grown. It is ok to go for a job and save some money initially to invest in your dream venture. Bringing an angel investor in a proven concept is easy, rather than experimenting with someone’s money. Budding entrepreneurs should aim for MVP “minimum viable product” or pilot run of their projects, make them profitable at a small scale and then only pitch it to the banks or angel investors to scale up. Entrepreneurship is adventurous but it is important to take only calculative risks initially to keep up the confidence.

The wait of over a 100 years of winning a Olympic medal in athletics event has been put to an end by Lovely Professional University - LPU student and India's star Neeraj Chopra as he has clinched a Gold medal in Javelin Throw event in the ongoing Tokyo Olympics. Being a former LPU student it gives me immense pleasure that a LPU student has bagged a Gold for India and has given Indians and LPUians a moment to cherish for lifetime. Today 1.25 billion people are feeling like they each have won a medal, just because of you. Congratulations on your thumping victory champ.

I and my husband share the same name “Mandeep Sidhu”. The very first batch of Infosys Chandigarh must be knowing Mandeep Sidhu & many from American Express in Phoenix too. He is still full time working with one of a company in Oregon. However, my first introduction to IT services comes from Mandeep. I understood the depth of software development industry from him. My brother is also Computer Science graduate from one of the prestigious university Thapar University. Though none of my family members were huge risk takers in terms of business but they never said no to me too. I could not choose to settle in US despite all lucrative options and a day to day family life, because I had immense attachment with my village and always wanted to do different. Everything I have learnt till now, I have learnt from reading and reading or my questions has been answered by my husband. With my active presence on social media, my list of mentors is increasing now and I am learning even more. Entrepreneurship is hard, extremely hard. We have always been questioned for the path we chose. Many times we wonder if what we are doing is right. Business has grown to 90 employees by reinvesting again and again. The best part, Mandeep has helped us to automate the whole organization with an internal software, integrating all the departments. He has been a great mentor to the tech team. Letting your partner do whatsoever she wants, is a rare gesture a woman experience. Like my father, my brother, he has shown high level of trust in my capabilities with time. We respect each other’s choices and talents. And the funny part is we cannot fight, as everyday I have questions for 100 customers in between . Webflow - A giant technology company based out of San Francisco and considered to be one of the largest website development platforms certifies "Expert" to Jatinder Kaur from our venture SimbaQuartz and the first one from our village. She has cleared all the necessary tests and fulfilled the requirements of project submissions to become an official expert of Webflow. Jatinder is from my own village Tangra and she started her journey as a fresher. She has built dozens of websites till now. She has successfully served clients all over the globe, across various sectors. “Rural Passion” is what I talk about most often and our team is a classic example of Rural & Social Entrepreneurship success. 23 years old, Jatinder Kaur is a real example of struggle, sheer determination and hard work from my village Tangra, Currently, she is working at SimbaQuartz as a Software Developer and one of the smartest and hardworking women in our company. She has been very dedicatedly, trained by her seniors in SimbaQuartz and I must say she is a passionate, sincere and quick learner. She lost her father at the age of four. Her mother did stitching work and supported her to get a degree in Computer Science. It gives me immense pleasure when I see girls from my own village, having a passion to reach heights, earn and support their families. I see my vision fulfilling when I see youth from my village employed and earning handsome salaries and staying with their families. I wish to create thousands of such examples. The passionate youth, like her, have the ability to inspire other women, families, villages and generations.

Jatinder has now been promoted to the core technology wing, where she is learning newer technologies. She is learning coding skills real quick and I believe she will soon become one of the finest coders and will make her mark in the category of lucrative salaries in SimbaQuartz.

2006-2021 My college days to an Entrepreneur today! I have studied BBA-MBA at Lovely Professional University - LPU. I was the student of founder batch. I have been the most consistent student. I travelled 130kms daily by odd buses, trains and what not. No bus used to agree to stop at my village Tangra, it has been always a request. Some semesters I chose to come by college bus, but it has been very tough to pay full 16000 rupees in one go, for a semester. I never ever missed a single day, at university in five years. I missed my immediate uncle’s daughter’s marriage at home, because it was falling on Monday. 😀 She still doesn’t talk to me well. I was the most curious to access internet, the most curious to attend classes, the most curious to gift my father with first position in each semester during my MBA. People who come from innocent backgrounds with Visionary Dreams, have nothing else except “Being Most Consistent” & “Being a Performer”. They take huge risk and killing stress at the same time and then they have to be the Number One in whatsoever they do. They never get time to be sad, to cry, to feel pain, They have to get up and Go immediately! I must say they Laugh & Cry at the same time & the feeling is utmost satisfying”

Almost everyday, I am visiting a new bank or I am following up with financial institutions. I am ok with it. Today I visited one of the bank, the chief manager has been really very nice & polite with me, much better than my previous experiences. He said to me I came in this branch in the month of May and this branch’s all authority has been seized as a recent 200crore fraud has been discovered by a local company in the city. I have become speechless. I feel the world needs more of honest & ethical businesses again, if everybody will become corrupt & easy going, it will be the impossible path for the entrepreneurs behind. Good & ethical work not only satisfies our own soul, but unintentionally helps uncountable people we never know. Please walk an honest path, it becomes a ready to go path for people behind! Dishonesty Blocks!!

A pure motivation from my IT venture SimbaQuartz in my village Tangra in Punjab. Our vision is “Changing lives”. Here you meet “Joban” from my village - He has no Computer Science background, However is an excellent brilliant coder today. Five years ago, first year in my company, he was earning Rs.6000 per month but today he has improved on his coding as well as communication skills so much that its easy for him to justify ten times of his salary. He has become a brilliant champ, a great leader, accountable & strong pillar. Joban has been recently promoted as Technology Lead and slowly moving to higher managerial roles. Why would such guys leave their villages and settle down abroad? I find our achievement in such heart touching Life Changing examples in our company. For me success will never be buildings, funding, luxuries and fame. Our real success is in How many people right from the core roots of my village, I can train and make excellent developers or managers who become favourite of my elite clients sitting in any part of the world. They should earn handsomely. Life is a blessing - me and Joban are from same village Tangra in Punjab- I feel proud of his hard-work, dedication and craving for learning more and more everyday! He is a Gem, a great mentor and there are many other teammates on the same track, like him. I am sure soon his salary will be six figures. I am very proud of him. Today is “Joban’s” birthday!

Sometimes life absolutely blocks your path!! In 10 years of my entrepreneurial journey, I am going through the toughest phase ever of arranging funds to smoothly scale up my venture... & managing my loans! My fault is to choose being a social entrepreneur & being honest. To choose human values before money. I have been a good tax payer for years. My fault is I do not choose the easiest path of “under the table” and get loans done. My another fault is dreaming BIG from a small village Tangra in Punjab. Still, I choose to not to give up infront of the system which do not understands my vision. I have come this far with nothing when I started and still nobody trusts. I am having options of angel investing & selling off my venture quickly, run by 90 teammates and ease my current situation in business and even become rich. But I am choosing to walk on my core values, my beliefs and not compromising ! It’s sad to experience, there are infinite challenges for the genuine! I hate favours & sympathy, we are the entrepreneurs who just like a bright student in need of an educational loan, deserve loans at lowest interest from government or private banks.

Hey! Anybody can do that! The real enjoyment, the sweet spot should lie in the Passion. Make your life simpler. Look for permanent satisfaction, not the temporary and materialistic! Fight for your dreams - DAILY! Don’t live other's thought process! Believe in your gifted instinct. Be hard to crack - Hard to break down. Be a Diamond! You can only be polished! Believe in being Number One Only, Don’t trap yourself in excuses! Just kill your problems with your belief, your positive instinct, and your knowledge! Remember, you can never win playing safe. Walk against all odds is always real challenging, may turn into the toughest by time. Have patience to watch what an honest belief can turn into finally! You just need Passion - Rest all fall in place!

They laugh at me, may be some consider me fool. Because recently while buying land for my office I chose to do transparently full transaction & pay full fee, rather than registry to be done at a lower amount and save the fee amount. I paid no bribe at all. I always choose to do 100% clean business, no matter I am left with something or not. My external CAs have not taken any fee from me for last six years. They say we feel proud of you choosing ethical practices & doing a clean business. I know a day will come when it will be a fruitful deal for all who has been so dedicatedly part of my entrepreneurial journey. Even in the toughest times, when banks didn’t help me, when I have to take local loans at super high interests, I do not compromise even a bit, I never choose to be unethical, dishonest No matter what! “Being Honest” is women’s Confidence and Crown in this tough world. This is how I feel! I am experimenting, with an honest approach to how much our system is helpful to the entrepreneurs.

“To all the people with good hearts, one day you will receive what you deserve.” Point is “we are never going to loose patience of waiting for the fruits of success.” We should become the height of patience and very strong belief, no matter what! A hardworking and ethical ‘soul or business’ needs time to have strong foundation & to flourish. Yes you can choose to loose patience & cut down sapling from your garden and go market give few borrowed bucks and buy mangoes. But a mango tree raised with all patience doesn’t need borrowed money, it can be grown organically, may need little help. Even you face various climatic changes, the thunders the storms, rain, fog & the sun, our focus should be nurturing and target should be the fruits. Even you have to arrange money at some point, you are sure of your hard work and fruits to come one day. The patience to grow the tree, is going to give fruits to your generations to come and many byproducts along, the shade, it’s medicinal value, oxygen, a good gesture crown that you have raised it, an appreciation and what not! The ultimate self satisfaction & Even you die, mango tree remains! Hmmm ..

Sensory Mats & Stationary and Bags were distributed by Amritsar Founders team. GICD - a specialized institute for Autism & Cerebral Palsy is run by Mr Arun Khanna and his team absolutely free for the children in need. I feel blessed to visit and interact with all great souls today. I have also promised free shoes for the kids in need in GICD for next five years, to be sponsored by us under the social initiatives of SimbaQuartz our IT services company in Punjab.

Meet Gurpreet Kaur from my village Tangra in Punjab! I keep one-to-one sessions with all my team members regularly. It was her turn today. My assistant told me, she is already excited and has enquired many times. Throughout one-to-one Gurpreet was confident, smiling and happy. She shared it was in the mind of her family to get her married after 12th. But joining SimbaQuartz with the support of her brother has changed their thought. For almost a year we taught Gurpreet absolutely free at SimbaQuartz. Now she is an earning full time employee. She has learnt Ecommerce website building and related technologies. Now she is learning Java and more. She has already taken admission in Online Bachelors of Computer Applications. She promised me to complete her post graduation & become one of the finest software developer in next 3 to 4 years. There are many Mandeep Kaur Sidhu here. Yes, here in my village, around me. Their parents have educated them with whatsoever resources they had. They need opportunity & they need us to live a life of dignity. The vision of our IT Services venture SimbaQuartz in my village Tangra in Punjab is “Changing lives” - Giving opportunity to the students to learn computers, starting their interest with graphic designing, moving them to web development from graphic designing, from web to language learning and they turn into “brilliant coders” in a span of 3-4 years. We give special attention to their English language Skills. From a stipend of 3000 we see them growing to 30-40-50-60-70,000 and even more in five years! Many completed their post graduations along. What a Life Changing Venture not for one but many 😊 I am thankful to the team from cities and team with higher education & experience for choosing us, they make the culture diverse and learning even better! Normally people go from villages to cities to do jobs but here at SimbaQuartz three vehicles pick and drop employees from cities to our village. My mind understands the most profitable business models of IT and cost saving strategies, but above all, I choose to discover a new business model, right from the roots of villages of India.

From almost 4-5 years we are using Connect Broadband and you can judge the delivery by, we have not chosen an internet Leaseline backup even. Mr. Chawla is available on phone 24 hours for our team and he has always delivered excellence. He is humble & very quick in his actions. Today, He is not only serving SimbaQuartz but my friends too. Ever I come to know someone needs a Leaseline in Punjab I always recommended them. Good is Good. Recently, Mr. Rohit Dhiman also visited us from Chandigarh office and I felt proud to share good feedback with him. Today, I am standing on thorns - toughest of the financial challenges, with the third party proposal of ready bouquet i.e “Aquisition”. I can choose to be in zero liability, crores of rupees for myself within weeks. I could be totally free from the tough fight I am fighting to set up an IT Services company in my village Tangra a rural location in Punjab. But Did I gave my 10 years to SimbaQuartz to become rich one day?? I could have become richer or must have saved money equivalent to my loans today, by joining my husband in United States, or working harder in any job or by setting up my IT venture with business model like it runs in bigger cities. Our venture SimbaQuartz is offering similar IT services but It is giving professional trainings to the village youth & generating employment in rural India, it is building up the business ecosystem in villages of Punjab. It is becoming a big family of emotionally attached performing and excellent employees. What do you suggest ? Breaking the culture, compromise on principles, the one of its kind venture, keep fighting with the system & with banks, face the toughest financial challenges, or “Acquision and Enjoy”

From needle to an airplane - My mother purchase everything we need in SimbaQuartz. As I believe, she is the most concerned, honest & best negotiator. It doesn’t matter how much your parents are educated, you can always train them and involve them to be part of your entrepreneurial journey. Earlier my mom used to help my papa in his flour mill and handloom work. From last 6 years she is helping me in SimbaQuartz. She has a special office and from morning milk to Macbooks, generators to office furnishing all bigger or small purchase routes through her. I never ever interfere in what she decides. Not only I have explored my capabilities sitting in my village, my mother has also explored, learnt new things and selflessly given day and night to the growth of our IT Services venture in my village Tangra in Punjab. She is helping us to manage the team of 90 people. Her day starts even before me and ends after me. On her birthday, I salute her and pray for her good health and happiness in the years to come. “Helplessness & Height of Positivity & me” I had the most complicated and pressurized phase of my entrepreneurial journey recently. Before COVID I promised someone to buy land from him for my office and paid some advance too. Rather making enough profits last year, I first time took huge loans to sustain and retain my employees and the organization. With some change in strategy, Our venture sailed through well, our team and sales doubled and company has been experiencing growth everyday since last 7 months. I was in desperate need of regular funds as my venture is growing. I had to invest in buying computers, additional rental space, buses and training my employees. Also, my loan installments started and sadly I got all unsecured higher interest loans as I didn’t had collateral. I gave my best of the presentation to various banks, talked to hundreds of people, however nothing went through. At last a week before, to collect funds I did all what I always avoided throughout my entrepreneurial journey. I asked help from friends, family and local village lenders, as the amount was very huge for me. The best thing to share is, I asked all my existing customers too, to give us advance and additional money as we are going to buy land for our office. Almost all customers helped to their capacity. It was happy moment for me to see my customers response towards us. I am proud of my dedicated team, because of them we have gained so much trust of all our customers. I am amazed to experience how deeply our customers are with us and contributed to our historical venture in my village Tangra in Punjab. A little more touching moment, my employees too offered me monetary help, however things settled before. In few days we will be buying our land for office, However I am actively working on coming up with better financial strategy in near future. I keep the “Height of Positivity”, always bigger than the challenge I face!

One of the famous online Talks platform approached me months back and asked my story. They said we will call you before to frame script. I said ok. As I was narrating my story they said there should be more low times and than high times in your story .. I said Though I faced enough challenges, but I do not agree to present myself helpless and poor fellow. I enjoy my low and high times. I live my life with all passion. This happened to me recently again, my story was asked for a TV show, the host was the famous actress, again while discussing script with the team, they asked me to add extreme low times and then show your rise, I said No. I do not agree to show myself weak. Throughout my entrepreneurial journey I have learnt to keep my head high in front of the challenges. Everyday has gone through the lowest & the highest moment at the same time. I will call it, I made the perfect balance I could. I have never surrendered infront of problems, No matter how tough, how helpless the situation is. I choose to inspire all with smiles and solutions not with an eye of sympathy for me! Life should not be given much time to think about problems, grudges and rejections, Life is being in Action, Forgiveness and Moving on!

“My whole world is my daughter” - every parents say this. How my father actually did it? Every penny he could earn or could arrange by taking loan, he invested in my education. 10-20-30 thousands were very big amounts for us. Flour mill in the village does not make money in thousands. He says my daughter is all his money, his assets, his property, his everything. He gave zero value to materialistic things all his life. I was the first one to buy a small car in my family. Air conditioner came to my home after my first job. Many other things.. there is a long list! My parents only & only focused on my “education”. I used to be the richest student in terms of number of books and that too my own books. “Education” can really change lives of youth in rural India. However, before that values and ethics are also equally important. In rural already the backgrounds are very humble, I feel rural locations need good schools, best teachers, job oriented skill development centers and then investors & entrepreneurs for setting up good infrastructure and make things happen in the world of entrepreneurship in the villages itself. “Backward integration” should be the next strategy for setting up businesses in rural. “Local Talent, Global Services” Undoubtedly, population is a strong edge India has.

And this final “Entrepreneurial Smile” is for all those who think I will Give Up. I am in my one of the toughest phase once again. A toughest time comes to you very often, when you are a social, a rural entrepreneur, when you run your business with ethics, honesty and especially when you are working on a new business model. Just like me, an IT Services venture in a small village Tangra in Punjab. Today, My “Entrepreneurial Smile” is for all who do not trust my 10 years hardwork and also the banks who have declined my current request and sadly they failed to understand our faster growth as an IT venture. I have always used each penny for the growth of SimbaQuartz. In my 10 years I have never wasted money in buying any luxury for me except car, mobile and my laptop which is my need. Sometimes my decisions are, like I promised myself not to build my home yet, not to buy any new cloth in 2021. I have answers to all the questions regarding my business and I am very sure of it’s continuous growth, which is already happening, but it needs investment to scale up. In my eyes everything is so positive and growth oriented, I really feel the banking system need improvement in our country. Banks failed me badly in availing CGTMSE scheme available for women, where she can get upto 2crores of loan without collateral. Banks failed me badly in arranging money for a promised small piece of land I have to buy next week. People suggest I should not write here on linkedin, but I want to share how important is to carry your “Entrepreneurial Smile” and keep your passion high, in this tough world where people show you the way to quit very easily. The rich, the powerful, the one who can please or bribe or prepare a fake projection report or fake financial report may get better services from banks. Some cases are really exceptional, genuine, they should be given a chance. Anyways, I have always been Stubborn in my journey and will always be “The Stubborn Entrepreneur”, I have become used to such roadblocks. Entrepreneurs sometimes face the worst, when their own people do not believe them, you are still Banks! But they sail through.. especially the genuine ones!

When all doors are closed, I cross the level of extreme sadness then and I am left to just laugh at my rejections.

“Courage & Entrepreneurship” - People love the successful stories & they love the characters. But generally, our mind is not solution oriented. We do not provide solutions, especially when we see others in problem. We watch, listen but to help, participate, seems will waste our time or invite unnecessary stress for us. We avoid. We ignore. We say “it’s not my problem”. Hence with time, even at the peak of our corporate job, we do not develop the “courage” us in us. “Courage” is the key trait of an entrepreneur. People at top designations, still do not find “courage” to start their own ventures and they often feel sad about it. Start genuinely helping people around you, dig into their problems, listen to them, give them solutions, make things happen for the one in need- you will see in a short period you will develop “courage” to let’s start with own small venture. Entrepreneurship begins with “problem solving” and for that you need “courage” and “courage” helps you to lead from the front.

With time, I am very sure I am doing a rare thing, that’s why no one has been able to see the success as my eyes. My 10 years entrepreneurial journey right from the beginning is full of rejections and heartbreaks. Rejections from Banks, Rejections from government, Rejections from people and sometimes Rejections from family. When I say I am benefiting so many stakeholders, they say Just Do Business and the Business is Business. They ask where is money? I say my company and employees are growing month on month. Yes, my business model is different and rare and I have Zero Collateral except my home. It takes courage to build and run an IT Services venture in a small village in Punjab, with a team of 85, when you clearly know that such venture could be much more convenient and profitable in a city or developed country. Extreme Highs & Lows of 9 years - In my entrepreneurial journey THEN, I have gone through cheque bounce, the extreme helplessness of could not pay many times, NOW I confidently and proudly say banks there is never a delay in any cheque, installment or credit card from years, not even in Covid times. THEN, I have seen a time all my employees left me except one, NOW I have many employees working with me from more than five years. THEN, my family always wanted me to shift to US as my husband works there, NOW I have proved all, for being successful you need not leave your location, your parents. THEN, there were wet pillows and tears every day. NOW, it’s smiles and happiness!
However, My Honesty & Belief has been constant throughout, no matter what.
I am blessed to run an IT services venture from my village Tangra in Punjab with a team of more than 85 gems today. Our vision is “Changing Lives” i.e creating jobs for the trainable youth, so that they do a job of dignity and earn handsome salary being closer to their home.

Despite clear opportunities, “NO” is to angel investing & VC funding as of now, the good bank’s deserving loans will serve our purpose. Investment will only open up in SimbaQuartz once the venture becomes Zero debt company and highly highly profitable very soon. I want my employees who are definitely going to be equity holders and our angel investors, VCs, Super Happy and Proud and should be enjoying the scaling up journey I will not experiment on or mislead my shareholders. I want to build a company which runs own it’s own and it’s profits take care of Health of my employees and their all immediate family members and Education of their kids throughout. I have gems and super gems in my team who Can Make It Happen My team has never let me down in 9 years of very challenging journey where there were lot of rejections and pain throughout. Very positive about our journey ahead right from my small tiny village Tangra from Punjab! This year we are on a track of more than 100% growth on our own and more than 100 employees in few weeks! Being in my village and setting up an IT services & Digital Marketing venture SimbaQuartz here, has created a bigger Impact on me personally. I became an early riser as my father gets up at 4am everyday. Mostly on Sundays too I go to office, though I spend it on self learning and organizing my week ahead or meeting people, but I learnt this from my father and many other who work all days, Sunday and Monday are same for them. My father runs a small flour mill. He says, people need flour & rice everyday. I asked him they can get flour or rice on Saturday for Sunday and what he said may be many of you cannot imagine. People come for buying flour or rice even for one time of meal and sometimes they have to buy one time meal for their cows, horses too. Being in a village, I have been very close to people, always in need. That has kept me on the humble side of human, everyday I feel how fortunate I am. It is very common here in villages, people share food with each other very often. They cook or even ask if we need fresh raw vegetables for free. People have chosen simple living over everything. I believe Ethics & Values and Being nice are the most important learnings of life, which one could learn best being in villages. My experience says a genuine person is valued everywhere in the long run. To rise on your own you need to be genuine, nice, humble and at last of course intelligent, You can hire and buy skills but you cannot buy Being Nice, that you have to become and set an example.

Even in business, it should not be always about cut throat competitions, super high figures, selfish hiring and firing, projections, being unethical, pressured for something unachievable . We must be very kind both personally and professionally, not because we are touched by the situation of others but because we should properly understand that we are never too far from being in need equally anytime in our life. “Aim compassion in unexpected place and you will see unexpected positive results, better than you can imagine.” The world needs more employee centric, humble ventures investing in the learning and growth of the performing & trainable employees. Embrace humility as a leader and turn not only your employees but all your stakeholders into forever strong pillars of your vision.

This one you will love - The other way around is the right way! When I was about to complete my MBA, I was very worried about my placement in a good company. I was in need of job as soon as possible. I was the topper of my batch, my teachers suggested me to continue studies and do Phd. I also wanted to do Phd, but my parents could not say Yes further for my studies. I started putting my all efforts without the help of placement cell in university and made it by getting my first job in HyperCITY Retail (India) Ltd. I didn’t appear for a single interview in my university. Rather, I helped my friends to get jobs. Similarly, In my venture SimbaQuartz at my village Tangra in Punjab, in last 9 years I didn’t choose the path of angel investing and VC funding. I got great people on my way who guided me for angel investing as my venture has been profitable, still I was firm on my decision. I experimented and chose the path of absolute organic and gradual growth, in fact slowest path. That quote “Slow & Steady wins the race” ! The success of my new business model of an IT Services & Digital marketing company in rural will definately be helpful to many other similar businesses, just like I could help my friends to get jobs in my university times after being successful in finding the one for myself! Dear friends, in your life if you are walking the other way, which is not crowded, Be courageous & Enjoy the Journey.

Debt-free Story! When I topped university in my MBA degree, I paid my fees after 4-5 months after completing my MBA and then got my Mark Sheets. My whole education period has been challenging for me and my parents, but they had faith in my capabilities. My parents were in huge debt because they took local loans which multiplied like anything as they never knew about bank process. My goal was then to make them Absolutely Debt-free and it was easier to achieve in few years. Do you know? When they used to spend all on me, even risk heavy loans, selling off everything, people thought they are taking the wrong steps ever, they have no sense of handling finance. Similar story, my company has been debt free till 2020, In tough covid times I took loans and sustained my staff by not firing anyone and then strategized better and doubled my IT venture and it’s growing month on month now. Today, when I ask for loans people call it risk as if I have no sense of finance. I still need to take bigger risks to match the pace of growth of my company. Just like my parents had in me, In have full faith in my venture and my team. In coming years My goal is I will make SimbaQuartz a debt free venture as it was in 2020 and as I made my parents absolute debt-free after my MBA.

Would it be possible for my parents to make “Mandeep Kaur Sidhu” without risking their everything and even beyond that??

“One day you have to change the location” - some successful people ask me to mark their words, when they listen to what I am going through. An IT Services venture which runs from a small village is not a proven business model yet. It comes with huge number of challenges. A high end workforce to adapt to a village, employees to travel from long distances, good network base for the finest internet facility, convincing the banks, clients …. Many things are challenging. You know how IT companies show or open small offices or do tie ups all over the globe to impress their clients. On the other side, The best part is we train and empower those who join us as employees from the village and nearby villages. They are living a life of dignity and earning handsome. That’s where the major problems of India solves - Employment to the youth and Brain Drain. It’s undoubtedly very challenging for me without any support, my helpless situations suggests me to Give up as sometimes it becomes over stressful, However, despite no one believed my instincts, I have not Given Up in last 10 years! I will always & always keep my base location my village Tangra in Punjab. It’s rightly said, “ It’s lonely at the Top” Also, that’s my favourite quote “ When No One Is With You, You Still Have You With You!

Many ask me, Did you came to a solution for your right banking ? I am always fine and blessed with patience, anyways only YES BANK contacted me as of now, I shared my challenges and waiting for revert. Being loyal to HDFC Bank for 11 years has hurt me. Right now, I can only work on finding solutions to the problems and wait for right people to connect. However, Discussions & Suggestions are not solutions, Actions are. What will poverty eradicating schemes do in papers and policies, if someone will not go and take action and feed bread to the hungry. If we will keep waiting to implement what is there in paper and policies, which nobody will tell how they work without bribing, people will die of hunger! Similarly Entrepreneurship spirit will die of not being considered, despite being a promising and growing venture!

I know how the things could speed up and can be done:

- you can bribe.
- you can ask a friend or develop good relation and please people to help.
- you can ask for favor of local MP or MLA to help for availing government schemes.
- you can ask biggest account holders of cities to request banks.
- you can convince family, in laws, friends and unknown people to give collateral.

I can do all of the above, However that’s NOT ME. I am looking for a rational and grand visionary bank which acknowledges our hardwork as a woman in my village Tangra, who brought company today to team of 80 and has been profitable. The company which She nurtured as her kid and is month on month growing and can reach heights. A bank that can help me to never ever lose company’s equity and finally help us to become a debt free venture, I aspire to be. A bank which can give me A to Z Solution that I never ever look for other bank, angel investors or Vcs, which will become a case study, a way to thousands of dedicated honest entrepreneurs standing at the verge of growth like us.

This one is a must read! I was interviewing Rajinder Singh Ji, an Olympian few months back, a Dronacharya awardee and he mentioned he had acute pain in spine when he played for field hockey in Olympics 1984. He was the only player due to his pain has not gone for Olympics trails and directly played Field Hockey for Indian Hockey team. He remained Indian Hockey Coach for both men and women’s team. He coached more than 100 players who are Olympians and international players. Similarly, in Entrepreneurship when you have acute pain in spine, you still play, you still believe and win! And sometimes genuine and hardworking entrepreneurs need not to go for trails, they can be directly considered by good and genuine brands to lift them up! It could be help to inspire fellow entrepreneurs too.

To succeed you need a strong trigger!

My trigger is My Father.

- a person who loves me immense and never ever got angry on me. Love also makes you indebted that you are ready to do reach any pinnacle for the love.

- a person who has never travelled much, still his thoughts are broad that his daughter can wear anything, do anything, go anywhere, and his advise is “Only Do What Your Heart Says” and that made me the person I am today.

- he runs a small flour mill in the village, which just serves local houses. Some business in coins and rupees not in thousands and lacs, however an honest business to 100%. He has never adulterated things, no shortcuts and always kept a small customer base.

- throughout my life I have seen him working all days of the years.

- I have seen my father in many physical injuries throughout his life, because of the kind of work he is into. Pain & Pain in ankles, knees, elbows, fingers throughout his life. Many times I took him to clinics n even to hospitals. That’s the major trigger in my life, that all the pains of my journey seems me very less in front of his life. He has too much of patience.

- since 40 years he is into flour mill, it was the most emotionally attached place for him. His work n workshop. Two years back, because we had wooden roofs, fire destroyed everything, all his memories too. I could not save even 1% of it. He saw, I saw everything burning infront of our eyes. With money I can give him material things back but not the things he was attached to from years n years. His precious things. For me also it’s a temple.

- he is ok under a temporary shed and started again from zero. I always ask him you don’t need to work now. He says “ when people come to me, meet me here and praise about my kids, I feel very proud and I am the happiest man” I always want to enjoy it. Many times he is in tears of happiness. He is very nice an innocent.

- he is the answer to every question I have in my mind. He has app on his mobile of Guru Granth Sahib Ji and he always learn from it as much possible throughout the day. He is a great listener and always calm me down, in my extremely tough times. Believe & Have patience are the two lessons.

- he always had least but honest money and I am built out of money he must have otherwise used to cure his physical injuries, his teeth, his ears which all are in different problems. He never knew banking much, took out of the box local loans to educate me upto 36% yearly interest. He sold of all his land just for few thousands and paid my fees, I am the witness of it. He has always led a simple life, a man who has never gone to buy clothes or shoes for himself. Only what my mom brings he wears. Today he has given me everything, but even with crores I cannot give him back his health to 100%.

I am the Collateral - all the collaterals I could have today, my father and even my mother sold off at throw away prices, in front of my eyes and educated me and made me the topper of the university in MBA, someone who scored 10/10 CGPA in final semester. He says “ you are my whole wealth “! Also, I have collection of more than 500 books. Consider them, their value is appreciating day by day as my father invested all in what I wished to read. Please see collateral in the capabilities, hardwork and passion of entrepreneurs like me. I have no answers for this. The mentality and the policies must change for the honest & result oriented entrepreneurs!!

Yesterday 3 people came for a verification for a business loan I am in need. I showed them the only land me and my parent’s possess for a collateral. More than half land is my papa’s shop and rest is our home. Sadly, I couldn’t show them much permanent covered area as 2 years back there was huge uncontrollable fire at my place that we lost all the roof above my father’s business. I still remember we didn’t sleep that night, and 3 fire brigade came to my village after we lost almost everything. My family and me are passionate however with a great difficulty are handling the exponential growth of the venture I have started. I wonder, parents trust my capabilities so much they gave the last penny also to me, However banking has been never friendly especially in rural, irrespective we run an honest business, we are growing month on month, we pay huge taxes, we have proven business model, we have shown growth with zero collateral no family money. Last thing, banks consider us rural people at rural place, I want to share Its our intentional choice, a challenge that we chose our village to run an IT business, because we want to empower the place, the people here, otherwise I am aware it’s easier to make this possible in a city or a developed country! Next banks cannot visualize the vision we carry. Also as a woman they consider the owner weak, How can I be weak? It’s a track record I have never ever delayed a single loan repayment ever. Lastly, I don’t pay any bribes, no matter how much I loose. My life is an experiment - those who start from literally nothing & are honest - Can they do anything Big?

Meet Dilsher Singh The person next to me in SimbaQuartz. From humble backgrounds, we met five years ago and he joined at the post of Graphic Designer. Dilsher has no formal MBA backgrounds but He is an excellent team player and Manager. I never even feel like, I need better than him at the position he is. He is exceptionally passionate, loyal and visionary like me, who firmly believes everything we can make happen in my village Tangra. He has no multinational exposures but he can well imagine the scale to which we can take SimbaQuartz globally in coming years. He is the favourite of any client he talks to. He has built such a attached relationship with clients, for the good of clients and the company. Pre covid I had plans to send him to Australia as with his efforts there is a very long list of customers we are working for in Australia. I also want to share, in his tough times and even in his happiest times he never preferred to take off, though he has all flexible choices formally. A little example, when he got blessed with a daughter, asked him to take as many paid holidays in 4 months, he didn’t opted for any. Months ago I went to see Dilsher’s father in hospital and I wondered next day he came to office. He has a wonderful family I often meet. Few days ago an employee scolded by Dilsher shared with me that Dilsher seems stressed, when I talked to Dilsher he said bluntly “No” and shared How passionate and happy he is to see the organization grown from 15 to 80 employees in his hands and is super excited about the journey Next. Trust me he added more energy more passion in me too with his words.. He gifted me Real Smile You don’t win because of unbeatable ideas but definitely because of the unbeatable team!

Never let anybody make you believe “YOU CAN’T DO”. Life is an accurate reflection of your consciousness. If you want others to speak well to you, you must think well of yourself. Be a Queen, no one has the power to defeat the tremendous power inside you. Your strength can help you cross any hurdle in your life. Always remember you are amazing and can achieve anything.

I aspire to become such an individual, such a corporate and very much on those lines. I focus on learning, reading, become knowledgeable and Do Not focus at all on materialistic things, clothes, buildings to impress people and so is my team. Dear companies, you have selected the absolute gem talent from our company SimbaQuartz in my village Tangra. I am sure and confident they will contribute exceptionally to your growth. I am happy about it. I think bigger IT companies should start establishing training centres or outsourcing IT projects to quality small IT companies like ours who are working so hard on training good employees even in rural areas, as the scenario clearly shows they select our talent so easily. I feel discouraged as an entrepreneur, My matched package also, cannot make them stay sometimes. A fresher or less experienced employee, trained so well by SimbaQuartz gets selected in bigger companies in one go, I feel proud. I am also thankful and feel blessed to have even the best employees attached to me and the venture here at my village, who are dedicated and extremely loyal to the company working here for more than five years, despite having similar opportunities. I never want to build beautiful pitch desks, I don’t want to share fancy hyped figures on the basis of scalability one can do in country like India. I am not in favor of hiring companies and lawyers to help us with funding series A,B,C this and that. Recently, a person while doing just a small loan asked me Ma’am when there will be verification call, you just present you are not married. As I everywhere share my father’s address normally and when banks know my husband works in US they feel insecure, they think India is not my permanent home. I asked him “I am ok without a loan, even I need it” However I will not tell a lie or cheat. In this world, where genuineness has become precious today, I only look for rare people to associate with who have humane vision as ours even while doing business. It is not success when you fired people and brought business to profitability, it’s not achievement, Success is when you put your best efforts upto selling off your assets to save the jobs, the families of your employees because of whom you have built them. Success is “Giving” “Uplifting” & “Changing lives”!

“You will not get funding for your services venture.” Many people bluntly say when I discuss about my venture. They are sometimes so doubtful about the business model I have developed from 9 years in my village.
Honestly, I am not even looking for funding, but surely I am only looking for Banks & Financial Institutes to support us.
Except to our employees, We will never give equity to anybody. We Don’t see like disturbing the culture & the eco system. The company and it’s profits belongs to our passionate employees & their families.
And also, who will give us funding ?? when they will come to know about my emotional decisions that I can book a loss of nearly a crore because I do not want to fire a single performing employee from my venture. I don’t think twice when it’s about comfort to my team. I acknowledge and I am very confident & blessed to have one of the most dedicated team on this earth.
SimbaQuartz is an employee centric organisation, it has its own culture, bonding. Our faith in what we are doing has brought us to a satisfactory growth stage. We will find our own ways, our own solutions. Undoubtedly, it’s a rare venture on this earth, somebody will not find in books. She is deadly stubborn!
Some people first build buildings & walls and invest their money, I have build a great team first and invested all me into my venture, each second of my life I devoted to my organisation. The current growing phase, is a very hard earned phase of my journey as an entrepreneur. It has honestly, sincerely & organically grown to a team of nearly 100. I remember in 2015 when I changed the location of my company from Mohali to my village Tangra, out of nearly 21 teammates only 1 joined me in my village. No body was ready to move from the city to a village, That was really sad. I again started with just 2 team members - me & Pawan in 2015 and see where we have come up again! Nearly 100 today! It can happen, even the team sometimes do not believe in you, but that’s where the role of a true, firm entrepreneur comes!!

After I posted How I get my customers? today morning on social media, I got an inmail from a well wisher that “disclosing business secrets & strategies could be dangerous and effect my business”. People can distract out of jealous. I respect his concern. It was deep. However, I wish to share my perspective. I always want to share my journey, my business secrets or strategies which worked for us, with everybody. 1) Nothing in the world is ever new, it’s always getting practiced somewhere by someone. 2) I don’t want anybody to fall in dark pits like me. 3) Sharing is Courageous 4) When you share all what you have, you are curious to learn new and more. 5) Clients & Employees if really are yours will remain yours, 😊 it’s your extended family. 6) The more selfless you are, the more positivity you attract from the universe. 7) We are not permanent on this earth, do the best deed now. 8 ) People can copy everything of your business but the actual thing which is important to copy is the fire and the extinguisher in an entrepreneur, The Passion & The Patience.

I was talking to a potential client today morning from Australia 🇦🇺, the first time. I had call early morning around 6am. Many questions I answered and I was all impressed to know about his work too. And he asked “How do you get business?” I am glad to share with you all.. “Most of my clients come from existing clients “ More than 50% or even more, customers are the references of the previous customers. I have almost all customers as repeated customers too. And the new client of course comes from my social media or from my friends. I believe “you give your best to the existing customers, genuinely help them, educate them, involve them, contribute to their growth, cooperate with them in their low and high time, You Never Loose Them. Further if we put continuous efforts to satisfy them and never let them go that’s real marketing, the actual positioning of the brand. Secondly, if you are a person of ethics, you are honest and you are nice human being that’s another way people will trust you immediately and give you work preferably. For me these two are working well and I never have to spend much on marketing budgets. I ensure my team will always be into continuous learning and improving process to deliver the best to those who have shown trust in us.

Labor pain & Tears of happiness!
This year in January, when I completed 9 years of my entrepreneurial journey from my village Tangra, delivering IT services all over the globe, I felt it took too long for me to reach a point where I do not have to ask for money, I must say beg for money to fuel my venture. I gave a decade of my personal life to my venture, day n night, reached a team of 80 today. Seems a slow growth, but I did it with utmost honesty, least money, no collateral, as a journey against all odds, a journey against where I was always pushed and pulled towards a regular life. So much of social & financial pressure as a woman! Undoubtedly, I have seen closed doors from all sides many many times. I have always been judged as doing wrong, wasting time, life & money not much by others but by many of my dear ones. I never Gave Up, However acknowledged that I really have nothing. I believed in “When no one is with you, you still have you with you” and “You just need Passion, and rest all fall in place”. I have all triggers of pain in my heart and this pain is like labor pain of a mother, who anyhow wants to bring her child to a life, it brings smile on my face and tears of happiness!

Who is connecting you & me from my village so fast all over the globe!! Yesterday somebody called me from UK and after knowing my entrepreneurial journey. He asked again “ How about Internet - The high speed one ?” I shared It was difficult to bring Leaseline in my village and 6 years back, airtel was the first company to come up with Leaseline in my village and once they started, All Leaseline brands approached us and some even proved to serve us better in rural. I also thanked Ajai Puri & Mr. Rakesh Sharma for helping us, when no one was considering my village. I started with 2mbps Leaseline and today we use upto 100 mbps from Connect - another good service provider, as per our requirements in our campus. Undoubtedly, I connected the whole globe to my village through fastest internet in the region. Our bigger budget in near future may take us to an another level soon.

Being at TEDx in 2016 has been my life-changing moment in terms of being a Guest Speaker and Key Note Speaker at prestigious educational institutes of India, after that. Truth is!!
It’s not I don’t face problems and my life is goody good! Truth is I don’t mention them. I could smile, even when I can’t. Being an entrepreneur in rural, the external environment sometimes becomes uncontrollable, it’s tough to bring your surroundings to your level. Even the educated ones, banks, local administration, each one .. sometimes are not ready to know what you are doing, what your business model is, they are not ready to support and they treat you as every other shop in a village, however villages have rare offices or corporates. This hurts me but that is where I need to bring change with my presence. That how the opportunities bloom, that’s how a place gets empowered. An IT services venture in a village cannot be compared with the one in city. There is huge difference in economic condition of employees working especially if they are local, there is huge difference between facilities, living, transportation, infrastructure and exposure. However, their dedication and learning attitude can match the client’s expectations even better.The best and beautiful smiles belongs to the one, who knows what the taste of severe pain is. Many times I get hurt,However I choose to smile and aggressively I work as a passionate entrepreneur,no matter what!

Fool or Beautiful?? Recently I met a quite successful owner running a successful media house and various other businesses in Punjab. When I shared my story my thought process of making purely an employee centric company, he impatiently, confidently and bluntly said, In my eyes “Emotional leaders are Fool”. I said to him I could be “Beautiful” and a Hindi language फूल - which means flower, but taking financial hits for my employees and to keep my venture running in tough times doesn’t make me Fool. I told him I have no courage to fire any good employee, also I first time took huge loans and didn’t fire a single employee infact I gave hike to them. Dear entrepreneurs, Do not make companies to fool people, where in we show them bigger things and do not fulfill them, we do not keep promises even for the performing, we use people hire and fire them accordingly. Inorganic growth seems pleasurable to us. “Be Beautiful” where you build employee centric companies, a family, a community, a much dedicated team. I also want to share my company grew by 100% in last 6 months.

Choose to stay with your parents, serving them, and making things happen at the place you belong! I know you read my stories, because they are not stories but that’s how I have been genuinely talking to the world as a family through my posts from my village. I want to share just like an entrepreneurial venture in a village far away from cities lacks in facilities & bigger contacts to grow faster, genuine media also remains away. Because you all love and support me so much, I want to share my feeling, that it makes me sad when top brands approaches me in the form of paid partnerships. It had been very easy for me even to be at the top national and international platforms for my story, I can afford it too but just I check in my business, that honest & ethical approach works or not, I also check does media writes genuinely or it’s always about paying, sponsoring and nominations. I have not gone for many Top notch award events because I had to nominate myself first, then sponsor or pay some fees! Money is not the issue, it’s all about genuinely being at some platform. Being considered on the basis of the work you have done. I am enjoying my work in my village, growing organically, and I have never hired PR agencies, paid or bribed for my news stories or awards! I am much away from this fake world and have kept my lovely hardworking team of 75+ away from this.

We are the people, who love Oceans while sitting in a village. We aim for stars and we are all passionate to mark ourselves on the world map. With utmost honesty & being ethical, We have achieved extraordinary things from the ordinary. We started with almost no money, chose India over the United States, chose village over cities, We chose to grow organically than getting funded, In Covid year we didn't fire employees, we gave a hike to our employees. I personally feel like the mother of my venture, It is all set to grow exponentially from here. I could feel the power of Being Consistent standing with more than 70 employees today. An entrepreneur with no collateral in her life, with all challenges as a woman, as a rural entrepreneur... Since 2012 it took many years however I found the foundation very strong today!

Today I got a chance to visit Surjit Hockey Jalandhar. I had a lovely experience there. It felt so good to see players of all age groups practising hockey in the stadium. All the staff members were so polite and welcoming.
Surjit Hockey Academy trains them absolutely free of cost and takes care of everything from tracksuits to diet of the players. I delivered a small speech and told them to be themselves, believe in themselves and work hard, they got so motivated that I feel accomplished now. I loved interacting with all the players.
It was great meeting Iqbal Singh Sandhu ( Additional Deputy Commissioner, Ludhiana), Rajinder Singh Jr. ( Arjuna Award for Hockey, Dhyan Chand Award for Hockey) & Mr. L. R. Nayyar, IRS (Retd.) Former Chief Commissioner, Income Tax.
The Surjit Hockey Stadium, is a field hockey stadium in Jalandhar, Punjab, India. It is established by the members of the Surjit Hockey Society. Surjit Hockey Society came into existence in 1984 with a pledge to keep the name of Sardar Surjit Singh Randhawa, Olympian alive, who lost his life in a fatal car accident near Jalandhar on Jan 7th, 1984, while fighting hard for up liftmen of the game of Hockey in our Country. Sardar Surjit Singh Randhawa was a member of World XI, Asia Stars XI and he participated in number of International events i.e. Olympics, World Cup, Champions Trophy, Asian Games, besides many other International Tournaments.

Few days back I received a fine opportunity to meet Dr. Anupreet Kaur/ Dr Shayna, an Amritsar-based pathologist and successful entrepreneur.
She has been crowned the first runner up of the Mrs. India World 2020-21 pageant and won the title of Beyond Beauty India 2020-21 as well.
Dr. Anupreet is an accomplished Kuchipudi dancer as well. When we met she shared her journey experience and said -
“It’s a moment of great pride to have shared the stage with several accomplished women and win the pageant." Anupreet also said that she aims to empower women and enthuse confidence in them to display their real beauty and wisdom.

Rashpal Singh ji is a resident of village Arjan Manga district Amritsar. Some time ago, Rashpal Singh's mother gave her kidney to Rashpal Singh. Currently Rashpal ji's condition is very critical and he needs a kidney transplant again and every 3 days dialysis is being spent by SimbaQuartz
Monthly Financial Aid:
Our CEO Mandeep Kaur Sidhu was invited to the inauguration ceremony of a dental clinic for the students at an NGO named Missiondeep educational trust, our team provided financial help to improve education & living standards of boys and girls studying at Missiondeep.
A family from Chhajjalwaddi village recently lost one of their family member, SimbaQuartz provided financial help for their family.
Education:
Gurpreet Kaur, Upasna, Vrinder Singh and Ram Singh are learning for free at SimbaCourse, they are provided special courses for free, with separate computers arranged for them. Our aim is to support the young generation of the village who prefers education and those who have a desire to learn in any way, so that they become capable of getting a job in the near future. All four students are learning Web Development absolutely free from our team.
Along with this, the graduation fee of a daughter living in Bathinda is paid by SimbaQuartz.
SimbaQuartz also paid the school fees for 2 students of Shaheed Darshan Singh Pheruman Public School, Rayya.

21-year-old Indian sprinter Hima Das inducted as Deputy Superintendent of Assam Police. Hima Das, nicknamed the Dhing Express, is an Indian sprinter from the state of Assam. She holds the current Indian national record in 400 meters with a timing of 50.79 s that she clocked at the 2018 Asian Games in Jakarta, Indonesia. Speaking after her induction as Deputy Superintendent of Assam Police, the 21-year-old Hima Das revealed that she had dreamt of becoming a police officer when she was young. Congratulations to the team. Mission deep educational trust is humanitarian non profitable organisation which intends to take some measures to humanize the basic system of living. It gave me immense satisfaction to touch and impact the lives of others directly. Thank you for choosing me as one of the guests. I also contributed by giving a small donation amount to help improve education & living standards of boys and girls studying at Missiondeep. Choosing my village Tangra over USA and Top cities, Ignoring so many advisers throughout my journey and just following my heart, fighting for internet Leaseline and Logistics in my village, training hard employees from my village and nearby villages, managed to bring best talent from all over India, a loyal team of 50, paying above average salaries and even more, could never arrange a collateral for the bank yet survived, no angel invester no VC, no IT background - I cannot code a single line, kept family life to bare minimum, absolute employee centric venture no matter How profitable I am or not. Global customers. Reaching TEDx and prestigious dream stages. When everybody said NO, I said YES. When people considered me dead, I managed to crawl further. I just chose “Passion & Compassion” above all and its working well! What else someone from core rural background somewhere in Punjab’s village, with almost negligible resources can better achieve. The vision of the company is " Changing Lives". Lives of our employees and their families and more. The company aims to spend all its profits on Health of employees and their families including parents, spouse, kids and siblings and Education of the employee's kids, making these absolutely free for a lifetime. In the year 2021, we unveiled the first phase of the "Gift of Health" policy, to our employees who have completed five years with the company, along the family members has been covered for an insurance sum of nearly 2 crores. On this special day, our team has organized some fun activities for playing with them such as Hair Band Decorating, Balloon Race, Stapu, etc. We distributed gifts to each girl child. The day is celebrated by organizing various programs including awareness campaigns on Save the girl child, child sex ratios, and creating a healthy and safe environment for a girl child.

It was a great meeting with Mr. Jatinder Jay Minhas yesterday at Sant Baba Bhag Singh University & Sant Baba Bhag Singh International School, Adampur. From a small village in Adampur, he went to Canada in the early 1980s. Mr. Minhas is a successful entrepreneur, film producer and social activist. He is running a construction company Elegant Development Inc. Mr. Minhas is settled in Richmond, Canada. He has two daughters who are looking after his business. Mr. Minhas’s charitable gestures extend all over Canada and India. Progressive Intercultural Community Services, Rotary Club, Lions Eye Hospital, Sant Baba Bhag Singh University are some of the many charities that Mr. Minhas has been supporting for several years. He was instrumental in converting SBBS college in rural Punjab into a recognized University. He sponsored and contributed to many projects such as Mega Free Eye Operation Camp Lions Club of Adampur, Indo Canadian Games and Sports Festivals Promoted Sports Exchange Programs, Times of Canada – Galas, Conferences & Vaisakhi celebrations, Indian President Abdul Kalam’s lecture at Simon Fraser University, etc.
Every year he keeps visiting his native place in Adampur, Punjab and keeps contributing to its development. Recently at Tikri Border, he organized an eye camp for farmers by calling in specialists and staff from Lions Eye Hospital that he is financially supporting in Adampur. He plans to set up a multipurpose sports stadium in the memory of two Saragarhi martyrs at his village Damunda, Adampur. He also visited farmers’ families who lost their dear ones in the protest and helped them financially.

Poverty is just like a disease to which other problems are associated. There are a number of people who live below poverty line and therefore they are forced to live on the streets, footpaths and slum areas. These people live in such areas where the living conditions are unfavorable. As we know, a pair of shoe is a necessity for every individual but for the poorer earning pair of shoe is least priority task due to which they suffer from many health issues. According to the medical opinion, shoes prevent severe parasites transmitted through soil, along with the many deadly diseases. Approximately, two million people worldwide are infected with soil-transmitted diseases. These diseases are caused by different species of roundworms. It is infected by those worms which are transmitted through contaminated soil. So we can very well imagine that how the poor people try to earn their livelihood by putting their life into so much of risk. I am proud of our self funded, Mission 50,000 Shoes To Give, to be completed in years to come.

The heart is for compassion, it is to love and care. The heart is to pray, to spread positive vibes. I recorrect myself again and again and I correct my thoughts every day. The heart is to lift people, to help people to become genuinely fearless as we all are children of One Father, Almighty. The rule of love, care and compassion is, you will always receive love, care and compassion back. And, this is the secret of being loved by all. Love all, care all, be compassionate for all and you will be loved by all. My view of seeing towards life is different. I believe in loving, caring, being compassionate and especially pray with all positive vibes for the universe. The universe includes people who bring joy to my life and who do not bring joy to my life. I firmly believe there are no good and no bad people, it is always happy people who want to bring joy to your life and other people who do not want to bring joy to your life. It is very easy to pray for people you love, you care, you like. However, the gift of your precious life should belong to very genuinely pray for all. Avoid the darkness, the darkness of selfishness, the darkness of giving pain. Embrace the act of reviving and healing others by the power of prayers from your heart and by the power of thinking good and positive, especially, for people who do not bring joy to your life, people who may not like you. Your real strength lies in being positive, being loving, compassionate for all, even in Darkness, even in Pain. That's the secret of being Loved By All. Love and Pray for All, Everyone!

SimbaQuartz has always been an employee-centric organization based on ethical practices, values, and strong morals. To mark this prestigious event, all the employees along with their family members were cordially invited. Another important and captivating part of the event was the felicitation of the employees who successfully completed five years in the company. For employees who completed five years with the company, we unveiled a special health policy ‘Gift of Health’ for the employees and their families including parents, spouse, children, and siblings. In 2017 I along with my team, started with Shoe Giving Mission which has reached to 18,500 mark this December.

Nowadays, I am finalising another bigger staff bus for my IT venture SimbaQuartz. One of my friends is helping me to finalise. So many options we checked. Many many variants in seats. He said its just staff bus we can go for normal seats or a bit upper range. It is the matter of an hour a day. I shared my inner feeling with him " All that I ever accumulate, will belong to my employees and their families. I would like to have the same comfortable seats on the bus which I would have chosen for myself if I have to travel every day." I don't know how deeply my employees think while working, However, I honestly think for them the same as I think of myself or my family. I owe a debt of gratitude to all my excellent team members, who whole heartedly believed in me and made it possible that a successful IT company can run from the core rural roots, my village Tangra in Punjab. For me in long term, upholding the values is more important than business success. SimbaQuartz will always be an employee-centric company for years to come. I may not be able to change the whole world, However, it will be my attempt to change the world of few, especially my employees.

We only hire Very Good and Excellent candidates. Oct 2019 We selected three interns from Lovely Professional University, out of more than 100 students who applied for paid internships. Recently, In this uncertain time of COVID, these exceptionally good interns are now full-time employees at SimbaQuartz. We hired Maheshwar Pandey, Sandeep Mansotra, and Vikas Attri to work as full-time Software engineers. In their tenure of internship, with their serious approach towards learning, they acquired technical skills and experiences as Maheshswar said, " When I started working as an intern then I came to know that by doing hard work, anything can be achieved and nothing is impossible. It makes my dream come true" and Sandeep said that he already has his plans for future and this internship phase and the experiences gained helped him in following his career goal to become the best developer in future, whereas Vikas pleasantly acknowledge that he become more clear with his plans for future with this internship and everything is going according to the plan. Madam Kamala Harris made history by becoming the first black woman vice president of the United States. Madam Vice president is an African-American & Indian - Originated woman. Her mother Gopalan Shyamala, hails from Chennai, India & father from Jamaica. The mother of Madam Kamala moved to the USA in 1958 at the age of 19 for her master's program in nutrition and endocrinology. Unfortunately, her mother passed away in 2009 cause of colon cancer. Today, she has dedicated this biggest and historical achievement to her mother Gopalan Shyamala.

On the proud moment of being elected as the Vice President of the USA, she expressed her emotions by saying, ‘I may be the first woman in the office, but won’t be the last’. Her dedication, sacrifices, and devotion to her nation are tremendous. We hope that her upcoming service with President Joe Biden will be wonderful & set an example for not only the USA but for the whole world. I would love to felicitate President Joe Biden & Madam vice president Kamala Harris for their great achievement.

Sikhs have already made our community proud in the whole world, in all the fields such as sports, defense, science, or politics, etc. Likewise, the human rights lawyer Aman Singh made history by becoming the first turbaned Sikh MLA in British Columbia. Singh, who was born in Hong Kong, came close to attaining the feat of being elected an MLA in 2017 but lost by just 134 votes. He fought again to become an MLA of the British Columbia assembly and he did it on Saturday (October 24th, 2020) by creating history. It's a jubilant & proud moment for the whole Sikh community in the world. I congratulate the first turbaned Sikh MLA, Mr. Aman Singh. Best wishes.

Today is the birthday of the 'Missile Man of India' who served his whole life for the nation of India either it was Indian aerospace or Indian politics. APJ Abdul Kalam was born on 15th October 1931 in Rameswaram, Tamil Nadu. He spent four decades as a scientist and science administrator, mainly at the Defense Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) and Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), and was intimately involved in India's civilian space program and military missile development efforts. He thus came to be known as the Missile Man of India for his work on the development of ballistic missile and launch vehicle technology. He also played a pivotal organizational, technical, and political role in India's Pokhran-II nuclear tests in 1998, the first since the original nuclear test by India in 1974. Mr. Kalam was elected 11th president of India in 2002. Unfortunately, today he is not with us but he always lives in our hearts, we miss him and his motivational speeches. Today on his birthday, we salute him for his great contribution to the Indian aerospace, and his selfless service, dedication, and incredible contribution to our nation.

Today, the senior students of Kalgidhar Public School at Bhikhiwind has voluntarily attended the workshop on 'The introduction of computer and technology', conducted by SimbaQuartz. In this workshop, our team has explained all about computer working, programming, and upcoming technologies. The whole session was very interactive and informative. We found students were keen to know about the new technologies and even their communication skills were at par. The motive of such a workshop is to develop the interest of students in coding and solve various problems. We are soon going to conduct another workshop at Kalgidhar school and various other schools. Mental health is one of the most neglected and under-funded areas of public health. As per my thoughts, this aspect should be more addressed in the current times due to ongoing pandemic. Long lockdowns, fall of economy, job losses etc have made people more vulnerable to mental illness. Therefore, I would suggest all of you out there to stay positive no matter what. The Nobel Prize is a set of annual international awards bestowed in several categories by Swedish and Norwegian institutions in recognition of academic, cultural, or scientific advances. The will of the Swedish chemist, engineer, and industrialist Alfred Nobel established the five Nobel prizes in 1895. The prizes in Chemistry, Literature, Peace, Physics, and Physiology or Medicine were first awarded in 1901.

Likewise, three scientists won this year's Nobel Prize in Physics on 06th October for advancing our understanding of black holes.

Their names are Roger Penrose from the United Kingdom, Reinhard Genzel from Germany, and Andrea Ghez from the United States. Other than this, two more scientists, 'Emmanuelle Charpentier' & 'Jennifer A. Doudna' won the Nobel Prize in chemistry on the 07th of October for developing a method of genome editing likened to "molecular scissors" that offer the promise of one-day curing inherited diseases and even cancer. I would like to congratulate all of them for their wonderful achievements.

Rural Passion” is what I talk about most often and our team is a classic example of Rural & Social Entrepreneurship success. 22 years old, Jatinder Kaur is a real example of struggle, sheer determination and hard work from my village Tangra, where I am currently running SimbaQuartz, a successful profitable IT services venture. Currently, she is working at SimbaQuartz as a Software Developer and one of the smartest and hardworking women in our company. She has been trained by her seniors in SimbaQuartz and I must say she is passionate, sincere and quick learner. She lost her father at the age of four. Her mother did stitching work and supported her to get a degree in Computer Science.

She said, 'When I was in fifth grade, my elder sister got married and I realized that there is no point in having dreams as I grow older I’ll get married in the same way as my elder sister. But my mother stood up for my dreams. She worked hard day and night so that I become able to earn myself and live a better life and support my family’. With time, she mastered building eCommerce websites and graphics designing. Her capabilities proved that location does not matter, she is currently handling brands throughout the world with her supporting team. It gives me immense pleasure when I see such young girls from my own village, having a passion to reach heights, earn and support their families. I see my vision fulfilling when I see youth from my village employed and earning handsome salaries and staying with their families. I wish to create thousands of such examples.

Happy Birthday, Dr. Manmohan Singh. One of the world’s best economist who served as prime minister of India for a decade. He has been the first Sikh prime minister. Mr. Singh had held several key posts in the government of India such as Chief Economic Advisor (1972-1976), Reserve Bank Governor(1982-1985), Planning Commission head(1985-1987), and Minister of Finance(1991-1996). He was awarded Padma Vibhushan in 1987. He is the recipient of an honorary doctorate from several prestigious institutions like the University of Oxford. Under his tenure, India achieved its highest GDP growth rate of 9% and became the second-fastest-growing major economy in the world. He has been listed among the “Top 100 influential people in the world” by Time Magazine. Today on his birthday, we salute him for his great contribution to the Indian economy, and his selfless service, dedication, and incredible contribution to our nation. A pure motivation from my village! I got chance to do higher studies, to do jobs, moreover to be in United States. But here you meet “Joban” from my village - He has no Computer Science background, However is an excellent brilliant coder today. He has pushed his limits, has worked day & night, to learn software development in latest technologies & improve on his english communication skills. Four years ago, first year in my company, he was earning below Rs.10,000 per month but today he has improved on his skills so much that its easy for him to justify six times of his salary and in coming years definitely ten times. He has become a brilliant champ, very hardworking team mate, currently handling US based multiple projects and he is the favourite of our clients. Why would such guys leave their villages and settle down abroad? Of course they will not. I find my achievement in such multiple heart touching examples in my company. For me success will never be buildings, funding, luxuries and fame. My success lies in How many people right from the roots of my village, I can train and make excellent developers or managers who become favourite of my elite clients sitting in any part of the world. My husband started Simbacart in 2011, but officially we together took it off in 2013 as a formal company. Simbacart is more than just a company, selling ethnic handmade footwear products under the brand Simba. Simbacart is indeed a unique company in more than one way. Rural Passion to City Glamour is what this venture had been started with and still following the same vision.

Those who are familiar with my stories and entrepreneurial motto already know that I always supported Social Entrepreneurship on normal entrepreneurship, and my venture - Simbacart is one of the most significant efforts in this direction. Though Simbacart is a profitable venture, it has always been a subject of curiosity for many as I’ve usually been questioned like how is Simbacart serving society.

So, to address this concern and resolve this curiosity, we have got this article narrating our journey from the roots of rural India to taking our products to all parts of the nation. Under this mission, Simbacart took its first step by reaching out to the best artisans or Karigars, located in Punjab or nearby areas, and then brought them with us to create matchless pairs of Punjabi Juttis.

Punjabi Juttis that our skilled workers manufacture all by their hands and thus the final product takes quality time to complete. It requires intense hard-work, time, effort, craftsmanship, and then combines them all with the finest quality of the material. When our workers invest a lot in these products, we assure them of decent payouts. Bearing all the expenses of manufacturing our handmade shoes, then handling and shipping cost, advertisement expenses, etc, the product becomes a bit expensive.

To feature the most stylish collection of loafers, Simbacart collaborated with a Chennai-based reputed supplier of loafers. Though there had been several other suppliers and distributors of loafers available around, we personally loved their passion and love for creating every pair unique and different from one another.

The creative combination of colors and unique designs of loafers this supplier presented to us, made us immediately associate with him. Besides other factors, this supplier also provides employment to local artisans who are globally famous for their extraordinary skills.

You probably know the place - Ambur in Tamil Nadu as it is famous for the best leather shoe market in India. Several leading shoe brands like Gucci and Tommy also get their shoes manufactured from there. Most of the workers of this supplier belong to this community and hence, perfection is assured in the loafers manufactured by them.

During the collaboration talks with Ambur based vendor, I asked him why you find North India or specifically Punjab as the best market for your product. My Journey From A Common Student To University Ambassador 2020!

#Dreams do come true - I'd always been full of confidence in myself because I never thought of any shortcuts, but always worked wholeheartedly to reach my life goals. Never procrastinated any of my responsibilities and being an avid follower of hard-work, I'd always been ready to take up challenges.

My decision to get admission in BBA - MBA course from

was the very first instance of my personality to be a courageous challenge taker. The decision was full of challenges as the campus is located approximately 70 km from #Tangra (my village), and I'd to travel this long distance by public transport and in a few semesters by university bus when I could give a lump sum fee.

During the period of my Management degree program in #LPU, I gave my heart and soul, and became one of the most recognized students in the campus, securing the position of University Topper in #MBA program.

My performance and achievements made many in the campus impressed and my faculties were quite sure about me doing very well in the future. I give a major share of my achievements to my teachers and University as it is their guidance that I've chosen the right path and heading to achieve something actually worth-surprise for many.

During my university period, I’d been participating in various business idea contests and events. This participation helped me bag several #awards and #prizes and developed my interest to become an #entrepreneur.

In 2011, I was the first student from my batch who got a job placement and started earning a decent salary

2011-13 I did jobs and even started working on my business ideas alone. I took off my entrepreneurial ventures in full throttle and today running a series of ventures with an annual turnover of nearly 3 crores.

Why I chose Social Entrepreneurship: Not just Entrepreneurship!

Success lies in our efforts, determination, willpower, and following this notion, I stepped into the world of entrepreneurship with my first venture - SimbaCart followed by my most successful and profitable IT venture SimbaQuartz.

I did not choose to set up my company in any hi-tech city but settled down in my own village - Tangra. Many of you are already familiar with my professional and life journey, however, very few of you know what motivated me to be a social entrepreneur rather than just an entrepreneur.

So, sharing the actual driving force and reason to become a social entrepreneur and beginning of my contributions to the society, rural development, and growth of my village with employment, technological advancements, and many other facilities in Tangra.

Earning of A Social Entrepreneur is a way better than that of an entrepreneur -

Coming from a middle-class background, I personally know what finances matter to one's life. Working for 14 to 18 hours a day, my father worked very hard to give us a better life. Just like other ambitious people, I also had high ambitions to grow and do something really notable in life. Though my vision had never been self-centred, I always had dreams to grow with the society I am a part of.

Following my ambitions, I never thought of leaving my native place, My Village - Tangra, but I decided to start my venture in my village.

Before the existence of SimbaCart and SimbaQuartz in Tangra, the employment opportunities and growth expectancy rate was very low, but my vision to be a social entrepreneur introduced my village people with exponential career growth, great work opportunities and a platform to learn advanced technology in a fully IT ecosystem.

Nelson Mandela is known as “Father of Nation” of South Africa and widely regarded as an icon of democracy and social justice. He was born into the Madiba clan in the village Mvezo, in the Eastern Cape, South Africa on 18th July 1918. Mandela was first black president of South Africa (1994-1999) elected in a fully representative democratic election. Mandela’s anti apartheid voice against the then white government made him a frequent target of the authorities. He raised his voice against the government system that privileged whites only. He served 27 years in Jail for Sabotage campaign against the then Apartheid government institutionalising racism across South Africa. He fought for those who were disadvantaged by the system of racial segregation. Mandela’s efforts and negotiations with South African President F.W. De Klerk in early 1990s helped end country’s racial segregation system. Mandela awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 1993 for his efforts. He also encouraged measures to combat poverty, HIV/AIDS and expand health care services through the charitable Nelson Mandela Foundation. His life is an inspiration to all who are oppressed and deprived.

Why would I not say my story is different when it is. We are into a full-fledged IT services business right from a small village Tangra, where years back I was struggling to get an internet lease line of just 2mbps. Many suggested moving to the city. I had the option to be in the city - the United States and Chandigarh too. However, it's my own will and wishes to have complete businesses set up in a village I was born and brought up. Here, my father still runs a small traditional flour mill catering to very few local customers, and I still live in cute little 40-50 years old home in the village. I still love my food to be cooked, including fresh vegetables right from fields and prepared by the village women for me with all love and affection. Life moved on, completed MBA, was the university topper, started the business, married in the United States, profitable business, very successful social campaigns, went twice at TEDx and countless prestigious stages in last seven years. I chose to not to get influenced by anyone and create and follow my path. However, vision remained always clear in my mind. My learnings from my village always kept me on the ground. I honestly believe right from the heart of my village, I can always talk to any part of the world. I believe the best of the talent can anytime join me here too. I believe I can train people super hard and improve their skills. I believe everything is possible; the world has become boundaryless now, thats the true meaning of global. I firmly believe you do not need enough money; you need to apply your mind and skills, have to be super passionate and all into your dream. In her illustrious career over the course of years, she has received a number of accolades for her work, Satyen Maitra Memorial National Literacy Award on behalf of Ropar District for the best performance in the country and National prize for Outstanding Achievement in popularising Mahila Samriddhi Yojana (a scheme with women’s empowerment & encouragement of the savings habit as its twin objectives) to name a few.

Her professional journey as an industrious woman who worked a day in and day out and left no stones unturned started as a Sub-Divisional Officer (Civil) at Kharar in September 1989. Since then, there has been no looking back for her. She has held respectable positions such as Deputy Commissioner, Member Secretary, Advisory Committee on Fiscal Reforms and Financial Reconstruction and Resource Mobilization and the most recent as Punjab’s first woman Chief Secretary. Her journey right from the beginning is an example in itself for those who wish to excel in life. Life is all about being into the coolest of the self-made rules where you need not follow what people say. However, to consider and listen to all may be a fruitful and wise deal. When you dig down deep on humanity, then you find everywhere in the corners of this world, lives exist. Poverty has been a forced religion for many, the places where there is no water, people have no clothes, no food. We are lucky on this earth, we are blessed with much more. We are with loving families, loving friends and are working with some motive in life.
Rejoice! Cherish and be thankful from the core of your heart for each moment with your fellow beings and practice to keep your thoughts simplest and the really good ones. My father used to say and still, he says, what I always followed “Do anything, but never even think of doing anything wrong to anybody or never even think of something wrong happens to someone because of you.”
Anger kills the being human in us, anger takes away from us our blessed calibre to make things happen with love. It proves that there is something which you cannot do in life i.e. you are so weak that you cannot make things happen with love. Oh! Why become a loser? Let every situation overcome with love, with compassion. I have seen parents treating kids with loads of anger sometimes and studying different parental behaviour, I also saw many parents let their kids do things wrong and learn on their own. They have never shown aggressive anger. They believe that otherwise, kids will learn same from them.
We are in a world where our own conscience is so humble with us. It is forgiving every time you don’t do right in your life. It’s always with you till your last breath, last wish on this planet. Be compassionate, humble with all, like your own conscious is with you, ALWAYS HUMBLE! Believe in the Almighty - Yes, he is there!

Today is the Bhagat Puran Singh Ji's 116th Birthday. He was the founder of Pingalwara Amritsar (an NGO) which no visitor can fail to notice if visiting Amritsar. He was born in a Hindu family, However, he was very inspired by the teachings of Sikhism. He was a passionate learner, However, poverty forced him to discontinue his studies. Despite various obstacles, his passion to serve humanity remained unshaken. He was a friend of the needy, nurse of the patient of any disease. In the year 1940 in Lahore, he used to walk barefooted, half-naked with a cripple boy on his back in an urge to help even more needy people. He acquired vast knowledge on various topics without any academic education and reached to the highest and purest level of thought process by being so closer to the realities of life. Today the NGO is taking care of and supporting more than 1700 patients and the needy. As being from Amritsar, Punjab, many of my friends running NGOs and me, are deeply inspired by him, as well Dr Inderjit Kaur who worked harder at Pingalwara after Bhagat Puran Singh Ji. We should be deeply moved by the devotion and love of Bhagat Ji for the people in extreme need. Our head should bow in his admiration for his exceptional work, which is forever inspirational for generations to come.

Raju - a pure soul

Born in Pathankot, Punjab, Raju has been begging from a very early age. He is differently-abled and believes that service to humanity is the greatest deed one can do. Raju has been appreciated by the Prime Minister in his latest speech for distributing over 3000 masks absolutely free and lakhs worth of grocery to the needy. Even before lockdown, he has often helped needy girls in their marriages, by the money he used to collect by begging on this hand-driven tricycle. It is exhilarating to see that during the lockdown when many are struggling to make their ends meet, there is a beggar with nothing to very little of his own who is helping others survive and taking care of their needs. Raju further aims to keep extending help to the needy girls in his region. Not only should we appreciate the efforts of people like Raju, but also take examples from such pure souls and do our bit for the betterment of the society and hence the nation; only then will the world be a better place for everyone to live.

Selfless Soul - Karnail Singh Khaira

In past one month, more than 75 lakhs migrant workers have moved to their home town via special trains and buses to give relief to stranded workers. Thousands of them chose to go their home on foot. During these most difficult times, a lot of people came forward selflessly to help these labours reach their destination safely and without any trouble. 81-year-old Sikh, Karnail Singh Khaira, fed more than 2 million people on the remote highway of Maharashtra. Because of the remote location, in the tribal region, and no other availability of single Dhaba or restaurant in the stretch of around 450 km, he provided a decent meal to hungry people. The service doesn’t limit only to humans, but they also feed chapati-jaggery daily to around 250 dogs, cats, stray cattle and other mute animals suffering from hunger crisis in lockdown. Though never gone to college, he speaks fluent English, Hindi, Punjabi, Arabic, Dutch and German, besides of course Marathi, the local language of that region. His donors regularly support not only from India but also from the USA and different parts of the world. India needs more people like Karnail Singh Khaira, and his team, who works day and night selflessly for the hungry & needy people. These selfless souls expect nothing in return other than the love of people. We salute them.

The tough times are for all. In the end, we should be more human. I am happy not to aim for a company but a Community of the best people for life. Few of you are working from home, and few of you are not working. It's ok. We will survive being available from our homes for work. Thank you for the guys who code from home, the guys who design from home and thank you to a few customers who still kept us moving. Many of our clients lost their businesses badly and we will wait for our clients to come back even stronger. Social Distancing : I am a regular visitor of Manisha’s home in slums. First time I met “Manisha” two years ago, when I saw her barefooted in school. I also invited “Manisha” on completing 10000 Shoe Giving Mission, I invited this little angel as Chief Guest on Celebrations. My memories with her are many... Due to Lockdown in the country I went to share Food with her, sadly now we cannot freely hug as the so much Hyped FEAR of Corona is not only between us but everyone today... Science may keep us apart, However God will unite us for sure.

Slums are very common in India. Generally, such areas are very crowded and many people live in a small space. There are no real rooms, bathrooms or toilets. There are many slums that I myself have visited, and experienced and seen people living on piles of garbage. One cannot find, that the people are lying on the trash or people like us are throwing garbage on them. It is not the case that people do not want to live in clean space but the problem of the nation is, there is no place or system to manage waste? Such situations directly force children, women and the elderly to live with diseases. How one can afford medicine when they do not have enough to make both ends meet. People living in slums breath as we do, but sadly they do not have any identity or even identity cards to avail any government facilities for their health or meals. When I see a situation like this, it looks like I'm talking about another planet. The slum in our country is a very serious issue. Children, women, elderly all crave for drinking and bathing water in slums, though people like us live so near to them. Kids living on piles of garbage, cannot even dream of going to school. These slums have regular deaths of kids under the age of 5 and that is not considered to be a big deal. This heart-wrenching photo, taken by my team last week, is a proof that, in many places, God still does not exist, otherwise he must have felt pity for the pain these kids are going through. What can God do when we ourselves do not feel compassion for people who need us most and are around us? Giving shoes to such kids, whose feet are full of pain and injuries, gives me a lot of peace.

I am highly honoured to have Dr Nagarajan Ramamoorthy, Director - IIM Amritsar, at our offices today. I stay and run my IT business - SimbaQuartz from a small village Tangra in Amritsar, from last 6 years. Today, his visit to my village has been one of the most encouraging moments for a rural entrepreneur like me. I shared my journey as a woman entrepreneur and was amazed to know his journey too. I found Dr Nagarajan very very intelligent and humble. I also want to mention, It was a proud moment for me today as I have two teammates Vishal Pandey from IIM, Amritsar and Megavath Pramod Sai Naik from IIM Sambalpur in my team and today we had really healthy conversations together.

I poisoned my soul several times and most of the times unintentionally. I poisoned the beautiful, soft inner self by getting frustrated or angry at others or at my own self. This is not the way, our positive energy should flow. The energy, the positive aura we build around ourselves through our humble, much loving thoughts should make a better life for everyone around us. Let us direct our mind to the right direction and just focus on serving the innocent souls who need us most.

Today, Col. Ratnakar Trivedi - "The real-life hero" has visited our office. He has embraced bullets while on the mission, for our Smiles. We salute him. He is a very kind, humble & generous personality. He was commissioned into Army in 1992 as in Sikh Light Infantry Regiment. Col. has been awarded a number of honors and medals during his service. He has interacted with our team and talked about mental health, physical fitness, team-work and 28 years of his experience in the Indian military. Our team has loved and enjoyed the talk with him. Soon we are going to invite him to "The Mandeep Kaur Sidhu Show" and We are very excited about it.
